OMG, I GOT MY NOA2 TODAY, just checked and they mailed the approval with instructions. Any source of information where i can read up what needs to be done? i'd like to get started if it matters. Or it doesn't matter? Woooohoooo, hope may filers are getting theirs this week.

Congrats and God bless. Good luck on the rest of the movie.

After reading about the chick flicks it makes me realize that married life is not a bed of roses. Ugh.

Good morning everybody! :D

Yevgeniy, congrats!

Girls, all that talking about movies, made me realise that I haven't seen any since I got here in Belgium again. My last movie was Caddyshack when I was still in NY, we love it so very much both Greg and I. It was not the first time we saw it, probably G's 50th time and my 7th ...lol

Ana, hang in there, I'm still sending approval-vibes-for-Ana-and-Dave to VSC! (F)

Alex ... is everything running smoothly there? :)

Have a wonderful Wednesday!! :star:

Morning guys!!!

Sandra, thanks a lot! We do need those positive vibes today! How are things with you?

Yevgenij, when you get a chance please fill in your timeline. Many peeps will appreciate you getting of the list, lol :) How did your girl take the news? By the way, looks like Kiev embassy sped up interview wait time a bit, so good news for you two :).

I need my approval this week simply cause I am running out of movies to watch, lol :) Why Blockbuster doesn't work in Ukraine?

Oh, thought I'll share our USCIS calling experience with you guys. So, we decided to talk to them last night and... like I predicted: "We received your 129(F)... (word for word from the website) and than they told us "USCIS still has 112 days to provide you with answer... "

Sorry to hear about your experience with the USCIS ... I truly hope the phonecall helped you guys having them looking in your file!

I'm doing good, haven't heard anything from the Embassy after calling and emailing ... but it's ok. I'll be happy when I get that envelope in the mail, that's most important. I hope the semi-strike with the postalworkers in Brussels isn't going to slow down delivery to my town ...

Yeah, it's pretty frustrating how useless that "help" line is....

I just saw your question over in April thread re: plane tickets... As far as I know many ppl by roundtrip just cause it cheaper and than cancel the return flight! So if it is indeed cheeper, book it without worries, with all the fees they impose on the process every buck counts :).

ALEX, hi :) WTH??? $500? How can that be right? In Ukraine we are charged $131 for a visa fee (plus $8 for FedEx delivery) and $100 for a medical, so close to $250 total.

Yes it is a lot of $$$$:yes: But it’s ok!

How much are the plane tickets from Belgium? The prices here went up a lot don’t know why? Before you could get a round trip to florida for 600$ now they cost over a 1000$...

Alex ... It depends how long in advance you buy em. I checked a couple weeks ago with my local travelagent, that the cheapest one-way ticket costed about 700 and round 500 euros ... Also depends on the airline of course, the day of departure etc. When I went to the US in february I had my tickets booked by an American travelagent, that was cheaper than with the Belgian ones ... Maybe John can get some info on that? There's always the possibility to pay with VISA eh *bwahahaha, visa ... I'm getting a little eye twitch every time I speak out the word ...:lol: *

I'm currently haunting down the cheapest company (and way) to ship personal belongings ... Must say when I heard those prices I freaked out. The goods aren't worth as much as the shipping would cost. So I'm going to simplify some more: toss stuff, leave some stuff with friends and family and just take an extra package with the things I really want.

I know all about having to pay a lot of money Alex!!

250-300 for medical

35 for police check

80 in gas tyo Halifax for my medical

either gas or plane to montreal for my interview - probably between 300-500$

hotel for two nights in montreal - 180ish

visa fee - 131

And I still havent bought Bo's wedding band or my freakin dress LOL!! I'll find it somehow though :) I'm not complaining really...I'd do anything to be here with him all the time :)

I leave tomorrow :( Bo's papers from packet 3 should be arriving today or tomorrow from my dad. I think all I have to wait for tyo send my packet 3 back is my police check. He should have his forms back to me within the next week and a half. I'm excited and nervous. I'm scared I'm getting my hopes up for an early interview and we'll have to wait until January again. That one CDN poster than got their interview within 2 weeks of sending P3 back got me too excited and I have to come back to reality. baaahhhh...sometimes reality sucks LOL

Eh Steel, I know you are busy, but I thought I'd tell you we finally got to the Ale House last night for drinks. Nice place :) Only Canadian Beer they had was the worst one LOL They have a decent selection though - I think I'll enjoy it there :)

one advantage to being from a close country...

I think my parents are going to drive some of my belongings down when they come for the wedding :)

Depending on when I get the Visa, Bo is going to try and come up to help me move down, and each of us will be taking two of those massive wheelie suitcases :D clothes, books pics, linens and such....then I'll see what will be driven and what will need to be shipped...

I only graduated from University 2 years ago, so it's not like I have a lot of stuff anyway LOL
