Jenni, Thanks for bringing the rain. I ordered you heat for a few days and you brought the rain back. Is this a tug-of-war. After the last 2 years or drought, I will concede. I just can't wait for you to experience the first 2 inches of snow. It is funny. All of the news people go to I-40, especially Harrison Ave exit and tell everyone how bad it is. I want to pelt them with ice-balls when they are doing a live feed. Something good for You Tube. I like the rain. Last year 5 of the swamps that I duck hunt were bone dry. Hopefully we will have the mosquito breeding grounds full this year.

Jenni, Any snow that we get, you will be blamed for it. We do like our warmer weather.

;)  I WIN :)

I am totally bringing a bit of snow, just to see people get all skittish :D I have lived with foot after foot of snow and sub zero temperatures all of my life, I will take pleasure in walking outside in a t shirt when the flurries start just to see the looks on ppls faces :)

What am I going to do with all my winter clothing?

I do love snow at Xmas, so at least with Montreal being a bit slower, I can enjoy the snow for a bit, and when I get sick of it, it will be about time to move :)

I'm going to have to take off a couple days to travel for my interview. If it's in January like I predict it's going to be, that is nasty storm month, and having to travel all the way to Montreal is going to be a feat in it's own right :bonk:

I don't mind the rain...I love when it pours :) I would take that over a drizzely day anytime. At least it will be nice when i get home. Fall at home is gorgeous :D

How is everyone today? I am up entirely too early, but I made Bo brekkie before work :) now I have to entertain myself for the day LOL should be interesting!

<3 Jen

Do you happen to know if anyone else with a fiance from Russia has been approved recently? I just can't help wondering a little...

Hey Anka ... if you check your timeline and click 'similar timelines' you'll find all Russian timelines, I think a month from your filingdate. Or go to the 'immigration timelines', K1 visas and refine the search to your country and you'll see when the NOA1, NOA2 etc ... was received.

Good luck! Have a wonderful day! :star:

Jen, you are a woman. Ya'll always win. Just ask my Iuliia. The surrender ceremony was great. Now if she could just get her visa and get over here to enjoy the spoils of war. I threw up the white flag so fast for her, it made the French army jealous. I will catch grief on that one. Leave that white stuff up north, please. If Iuliia sees anymore of that, she will kill me. She is looking forward to a warm winter.

It is really dissappointing to see nothing out of VSC so far this week. When I get home on Friday, I will be rattling the old mailbox to see what falls out.

Jen, when are you headed back up north?

Hello Ana, Just checked and just like you, last touched on July 3rd. I will post and let you know if i get any updates, do the same as our receive dates are exactly same. My girl is from Poselok "gostomel" 20 min from kiev. maybe you two girls should get together before the interview and go over stuff, my girl is pretty nervous.

Yevgeniy, Privet & welcome :). We have almost identical timeline. Our NOA1 was May 29th, so keep me posted on your progress :). To know if you got touched just go to www.uscis.gov, go to to Case Status Online and register with a login & password. Than just add your case (NOA1) number to the portfolio and you'll see last updated date in the middle. When it changes that means a touch. Our last touch was on July 3, so urs should be somewhere around those lines too. OH, and may I ask where in Ukraine is your love?

~Natalia

Hi there! How are things on your side?

Hi Alex! How are you? Thank you, I am doing well. Yes it's kind of season of cold. I see lots of people are sick all around the world. Anyway I hope nothing serious and you will be fine soon, take some remedies like ibuprofen if you have got a severe headache.

I have been just reading my medical books today, and I have been staying at home because it's windy and cold outside. I have to use electric heating , because they didn't turn on heating system in the building.

Take Care! Get well soon!!

I go back next Thursday...then it looks like no trips until Christmas, and even that's up in the air until I find out about work...We really can't afford it. Tickets are already 800$ for Dec, by the time I find out my work schedule, I'll be scared to look at the cost :(

Don't worry, I dont plan on bringing snow. I'm looking forward to a warm winter as well. Iulia and I will have to go run around in t shirts together in Feb/march to scare the locals :D I'm sure she will truely appreciate the 'spoils of war'. I just can't wait to be permenantly happy with my life :)

It does suck to see no VSC action this week though. I have everyone in my thoughts :)

Privet Nat! Dobrey vecher!

Good day to you too! I'm still waiting, waiting, waiting for the NOA2 as well...

Do you happen to know if anyone else with a fiance from Russia has been approved recently? I just can't help wondering a little...

By the way, my Vasya is from SPb too! Yay! I am actually going there for a week at the end of the month (even though it may not be the wisest thing to do concerning the petition is still pending and all, but.... :P ). He's said this past summer was so much colder than last summer, yes?

Anyways, best of luck and please tell us if you get a touch or, even better, approved!

Here's to the remaining May filers being approved soon!!! (L)

Anna!Privet! Thanks. :) No I don't know if someone from Russia has been approved recentely. Actually I don't see many people from Russia here. It's pretty good that you are here now. Sure I will let you know if I get any news from VSC.But it's quiet at the moment. Last update was on July 9th. I think it's okay if you come to St-Petersburg while it's still pending. Yes this summer was much colder, and the winter is going to be colder as well ^_^

Nat, try to stay halfway warm. I forgot that they don't turn on the heat for the apartment buildings for a while. I remember in kharkov last year they waited until the end of October for Iuliia's apartment. Not the most desirable thing, waiting for the weather to get colder for someone to decide heat is now needed. I do hope the heat is turned on when I go back. Actually, I hope it is in October and she has no heat, but a visa in her passport.

Ana, where is the story about your trip to Odessa and the Black Sea? Might be something I will do in the future when we go back to visit.

Conway, congrats on finally getting the approval! May it be a very smooth journey from this point on!

Alex, dear, hope u are feeling better!

Yevgenij, looks like we re in the same box or smth!!! Hopefully our approvals are coming in really really soon. To answer ur question about the wait time, it is around 70 days from Noa2 date to interview right now. In other words, once approved petition gets to Kiev they schedule interviews about a month and a half out. If we get approved together I might meet ur fiance in Kiev at the interview :).
