yes I understand where you're coming from, but when Vermont is capable of completing "June" applications while California is still bypassing some it's own Feb, April and May applicants to continually assist Vermont, it doesen't take a rocket scientist to figure out, that Vermont can stand on it's own two feet now, and no longer has to be helped by it's big brother.

Why was backlog from Vermont sent to California, when from a K1 perspective California is soooo much slower?
- only K3 (spousal visa petitions) were transfered from VSC to CSC. Vermont was WAAAAY behind in their spousal visas, and CSC picked up extra staff to help get through them. K-1 petitions were not moved at all.

Hey Alex, I'm great :) I'm having a lovely time, have to go get my ring looked at today or tomorrow to make sure it's good (part of the warrenty). Bo is going to give NVC a call today to see if it left. Hopefully it has :) I'm not looking forward to the wait once it gets to Montreal though. I really didnt want a winter wedding :S At least there isn't much chance there will be snow here :)

To all those waiting -

It seems that the approvals from the last 2 weeks, the email notifications and websites have NOT been updating. Make sure the USC's keep an eye on the mail, and this may be the way you will find out about your approval.

Hi guys! Am feeling a bit better so decided to check on things... Between USCIS website acting up, June approvals coming in way before they cleared up May and all the talk about VSC slowing down even more I seriously have no clue as to what to believe now! I just don't know what to hope for :( It's like that NOA2 can come in tmr and than it might be here in a month

Other than that, hope u lucky jackpot winners are on fast tracks to the embassy :). BTW, Alex, how is it in Sweeden? And Jenny do they practice giving away dates if somebody cancels in Montreal if you keep calling to check?

Jenni, Thanks for bringing the rain. I ordered you heat for a few days and you brought the rain back. Is this a tug-of-war. After the last 2 years or drought, I will concede. I just can't wait for you to experience the first 2 inches of snow. It is funny. All of the news people go to I-40, especially Harrison Ave exit and tell everyone how bad it is. I want to pelt them with ice-balls when they are doing a live feed. Something good for You Tube. I like the rain. Last year 5 of the swamps that I duck hunt were bone dry. Hopefully we will have the mosquito breeding grounds full this year.

Ana, How are you? Have you recovered yet. I hope so. My Iuliia is still sick. She came down with a fever on Sunday. I call her and the phone call lasts about one minute. Normally she will talk for at least 2 minutes before she hangs up. Just a joke. I hope that you had a great time with Dave on the Black Sea. I am really thinking of taking a long vacation for 2 months to Kharkov until this visa mess is over. I have to go to Chicago with my boss for a week and I will work on him. It will cost me sales, but as much as I have spent for the past 4 years, a drop in the bucket. Get well soon. I do hope that you had a great time and you will be reunited soon. All of us here look forward to hearing about where you went. Get your approval too.

Jenni, Any snow that we get, you will be blamed for it. We do like our warmer weather.

Ana, We were typing at the same time. Glad to see that you are doing better. My Iuliia is down and out right now. This is late for you, your time. Yes, it will be our time, sometime before the end of the year. I can not stalk the mailman until Saturday. Out of town for work. Then next week to Chicago. My mailman is so lucky that I can not stalk her. It will happen sometime, maybe. Glad to see you back on your feet.

Talked to the fiancee last night and still no package but hopefully when I talk to her later it will be there. Just sent her a big box loads of papers and stuff today.

I did talk to her Aunts today also and we reached a compromise on the wedding. They will keep making plans as they see fit and I am to be kept in the dark and just be told where when.

I realize that none of the K1 visa petitions were moved, but it still seems odd to me that ANYTHING would be moved from VSC to CSC when VSC is still processing any petitions before CSC. Maybe they're so far behind on K3s because they had too many resources focused on the K1 filers back in Jan/Feb/Mar, when VSC people were being approved in a month and CSCs were taking six or seven months (as we are still seeing). The discrepancies between the two centers are evidence of terrible mismanagement. I don't blame the adjudicators--I'm sure they're all working really hard. I do think that this is evidence of a horribly malfunctioning system that has little oversight and is overwhelmed by its own bureaucracy. VSC is already approving June filers--JUNE--while CSC is on Mar/April with just a smattering of May. It doesn't make sense to me to move petitions to a different center when your own is outperforming on another front.

Of course, if we had a better picture of what happened inside USCIS, this all might be clear. There might be logic--I just can't see it.

Hello, im new. I was just wondering how do you see that the application has been touched? Because when i check the status it just says received and pending... Got my NOA May 29th, no updates since. Me and my girl are so sad, I've been waiting for her to come here for 2 years... and this is just dragging more now, almost 3 years... The reason for the wait is I just got my citizenship in May... So how do i see that it has been touched? And if it hasn't, does it mean i got long time to wait still...? Thank you and wish ALL OF YOU LUCK!

Alex, keeping my fingers crossed for ya! Hopefully they are superfast and you'll have ur visa in no time :)!!!! Am really happy to see things moving for you and John! Dave made it home ok and is back to enjyoing the sunny weather! Can't wait to be there myself, but who knows how long it's gonna take now

Dairy, I need that smiley. Depicts my inner state that's for sure!

Steelman, sorry to hear ur love is sick. Hopefully she'll get better soon. And good luck in Chicago! May I say it's really brave of you to stay in Kharkov for a month with the cold weather we have going our way!

Yevgeniy, Privet & welcome :). We have almost identical timeline. Our NOA1 was May 29th, so keep me posted on your progress :). To know if you got touched just go to www.uscis.gov, go to to Case Status Online and register with a login & password. Than just add your case (NOA1) number to the portfolio and you'll see last updated date in the middle. When it changes that means a touch. Our last touch was on July 3, so urs should be somewhere around those lines too. OH, and may I ask where in Ukraine is your love?
