So just a random question for you all

approx. how long did it take for the Service Centers to cash your checks?

7-10 days seem to be the time.

No problem!!!

How are you doing today?

I'm doing well Alexandra thanks. Lara is getting impatient waiting for the NOA2 lol. Told her to expect a 60-80 day wait for it. She can't understand why the immigration process takes so long.

60 -80 days is not that bad! It could be worse… we are lucky that Vermont is taking care of the application’s…

They received our application May 12 and we gout our NOA May 20… so is my timeline correct?

On your NOA1 there are 2 dates on the top left corner...one is the Receiving Date and the other is the Notice Date...that is the 2 dates I went with because I received the NOA1 in the mail days after.

Hope this helps :)

hey guys!

I'm glad to hear everyone is finally getting all their NOA1's in :) We actually had a touch as well on our application on the 19th, so that was promising, and now Bo checks the website everyday lol.

I just got back on Sunday from a week with him and we picked out an apartment :D So next visit down I'll be able to stay in our very first place together...I was so emotional LOL

me, right here? BABY! :D

I'm hoping to get down there by oct/nov as well, but looking at the Montreal Embassy, it's about a 90 day wait for the interview :S GAH...At least I know the paperwork is in and things are moving forward, but it's so hard to sit around knowing that nothing I can do will make those workers read faster :S

I am so glad I have other people to follow along with though :)

I'm going right to Raleigh. Bo lives quite close to the University campus and the Cary city limits, and actually from our apartment, you can see one of the campuses behind us. It's a beautiful city, and it reminds me a lot of Halifax (which is where I am from), so adaptation won't be as stressful :)

It's so WARM so early down there though! LOL when I went down to visit in February, they were having the same temperatures as we are having right now :P We had an extremely long winter - something I will NOT miss at all :)

I'm so glad to hear that almost everyone has had their cheque cashed now! I just hope that the summer doesn't make the workers lazy!
