Glad that she is doing better!

Try to stay positive, I know it sucks that we have to wait even longer for the NOA2, but who knows maybe you will get approved today :D:whistle: ??

Ryan, I am with you! I love my Country and I do vote but I will be much more conscious of my support from now on because of this.

Just curious... what did you mean by...

they first ban that thing from coming to the country until the process is completed......

You do know you can visit while you wait, no? Well.. most of you can. :(

About the 4th time that Chantal came to see me, back at the beginning of the year, she was stoped at customs and interrogated for roughly 2 hours. They accused her of being a prostitute, and wanted to know how much I "was paying her".

After that they told her that she would not be allowed to come here until her K-1 is approved.

Now, this is the MOST innocent woman I've ever known in my life. No criminal record, steady job, nothing that would prompt this....other than she came a few times to see me...and once stayed for a month.

I cant think about this for too long....because anger quickly encompasses me.

Let's contemplate giving illegal aliens amnesty.....and treat innocent, harmless, women like criminals who try to do this the right way.

Hope youre doing well Kim and Russ

Ryan - Has she tried to go again at all? I wonder if she is flagged or if it was just an empty threat? If she took enough proof to ties with her, they might let her through? I know my file folder has about 15 pieces of ties-to-Canada evidence!

<3 Jen

They fingerprinted her. Thats all we know.

We're both very hesitant to have her try.......for fear of the reprecussions that may come with it.

I will add.......that I am able to go see Chantal. I have a few times since this occured. But, my job is very demanding. I cant get away to go see her like she can to come see me.

You DONT punish good people for trying to do things the RIGHT way. THIS PROCESS ACTS AS A DETERRENT, and encourages illegal border crossings. I dont want to guess the number of people who have started this process, and have said "screw it" 6 monts down the road and just found a hole in the fence.

The Fair Tax would severly hamstring illegal aliens by not providing them a monthly stipend that lawful citizens would get. But do you think the Congress wants it put before them? Hell no they dont........because it takes power and money away from them.

Congress throws money every day towards bolstering programs that benefit them. How much money would it take to put an additonal few thousand employees at each Center in the country. I gurantee you it would be a lot less money than the hundreds of millions they pour in to programs such as a $249 billion farm bill that abandons efforts to roll back agriculture subsidies.

WHAT?????

Okay....how about 248.5 Billion.....and 5 Hundred Mil towards making the VISA Applicaton process in the U.S. a 1-2 month venture?

Nah.....they dont get anything out of it. Only the citizens would.

I was also refused entry in July 2005. I was on holiday in Ontario with Lara and tried to get into the USA. One of the immigration officers stared at me and laughed and said I wasn't getting in. If there was ever an arsehole he was 2 of them. Another IO apologised for his behaviour. I can understand they have a job to do but what pi$$es me of is the attitude some of them have with there uniform on.

In my personal point of view, most of them are w@nkers.

Ryan, this outrages me so much! I don't understand why it has to be so hard on everyday people who just want to spend time with those they love! People on power trips I suppose. Russell was also "allowed to withdraw his petition for entry" at the border almost a year ago now. :( This after living here for over a year. Yes, we took advantage of the VWP but had no choice really as I was waiting a long drawn out divorce. In any case, he was treated very nicely but still sent home. He's been unable to travel here because he can not use VWP either and I only went to NZ once as it's 2000+ r/t and 20+ hours of flight time. Hard for a mom to get away for that long. ;) Anyway.... I am doing very well now, thank you. We were approved yesterday after 120 loooooong days and 10 even looooonger years! We're on our way now! I hope it's not too much longer for you!

Yes, it is extremely unfair. The uscis is fully funded by consumers...our petition funds...not by taxes and other gov't funds.... that's why they did not hire new folks until after they already had a backlog after the fee hikes last year. ;)

If there is one thing i've learned about life it's that it's unfair... this arduous process is no different. It's good to have a voice and to be passionate about it. Focus your energy and anger on contacting your representatives and educating everyone you know about the process. That's what I do. You can scream as loud as you want ...but if the right people aren't listening you may as well be silent. ;)

again.. best of luck for a speedy process.
