I know my file folder has about 15 pieces of ties-to-Canada evidence!

....

Thank you all for the kind words yesterday, and I again apoligize for my negitivity :) Hopefully we will start hearing good things soon!

What do you consider pieces of ties ... I only come to one; my job or maybe two, if a bankaccount counts ... I live (officially) with my parents, have no properties or anything here.

Jen ... it seems like the waiting is wearing most of us out right now ... no appologies for your rant! ;)

And you're right: "Vermont! It's time to start driving in a few higher gears ..."

Have a great week VJ-ers! :)

How are you doing? And Lara? Is she still on the better hand?

She's getting there slowly thanks for asking Tarantula. She seen the doc yesterday and and things look promising for her, but she knows it will be a slow process.

Alex, hope you guys are hanging in there!!! Poor little one... I just hope they will be able to figure out what's wrong and fix it!

Jenni, it's totally normal to vent :). That's why we are here for ya :).

Tarantula, I was going through Igor's last night and noticed you were doing the same :). Anything to keep us busy, I guess, lol :)

Gordon, so glad to hear Lara is feeling a bit better!

To keep myself busy I started sorting out the interview stuff. Am still confused about all those vaccinations and which ones I need to get  By the way, those of you ladies under 26 who might need HPV do some research online. I know it's a costly vaccine, but in some states/cities you can get it for free or under $20. Apparently there are many programs aimed at pelvic cancer prevention that offer Gardasil shots.

Gordon, glad to hear that!

Greg was away last night, they had a clambake dealie at work, so I was keeping myself occupied since we only briefly talked on Skype ... Yes it is therapeutic in a way, Ana lol.

I had my blood tested recently, and got that (can't remember the exact name) flu-shot, tetanus and the first of two hepatitis shots ... I don't need gardasil, since I'm 32. My doc told me I could get it too, but I think I had enough shots for a while. That tetanus-renewal did hurt for 5 days ...

Besides that I've collected the certificates, photographs and all of the other stuff. I also had my diploma's translated. I'm not so happy with the translations, but it was done by an honoured translator, so I guess it's alright.

This weekend I'm going to go through stuff-to-take-with-me and make an estimation of the volume, and have a price made to ship it. I am still going to workout 2-3 times a week, just to keep myself busy.

I'm wicked tired btw ... think I need to catch some early zzzzzzzz's tonight! ;)

I'm totally lost... Does the USC (me) have to have a bunch of vaccinations as well? What's all this about Gardisil - is this a requirement? Also, about when should my fiance plan to go have is medical exam and what vaccines must he have/updated? And, lastly, what is the time-frame that all his medical exam and vaccinations must be done within? What's the expiration?

Thanks so much!!!

Sorry for the million of random questions!

Grrr... I hope someone here (myself included) gets fondled, erm, I mean, touched soon... ;)))

As of:

June 26, 2012 - The Hubbs received his 10-year Permanent Residency Card (aka THE Greencard) in the mail today!

At long last, this highly stressful leg of our journey has come to a close - for now - and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for all the tremendous help and support here on VJ! Without VisaJourney I doubt we would be where my husband and I are today! Thanks to all!

Anka, Gardasil is a requirement for all immigrats who are females under 26. As USC, they do not care what vaccinations you have, it's all about your fiance. So don't stress about getting shots for yourself :).

Now for your fiance, usually medicals in Russia/Ukraine are taken either a day or several days prior to the interview. He can go and have his medical as soon as embassy receives your case and issues him a case number. Since he is applying for K1, his vaccinations do not have to be complete prior to arriving in America, though it is adviced he takes care of that stuff in Russia to save money/hassle for AOS. You can check out vaccination list here:

Just follow a link to Civil Surgeon directions from there to get full info :)
