If someone works for the USCIS and they ware going true what we are going true, they would have a whole deferent point of view of treating people.

We will have a happy ending!

That might be true, but I think for them they need no emotion. Just get through the next big pile o applications. I think those who are in charge of budgeting to run the offices is more responsible.

To be honest I think the time it takes is deliberate. Part of the plan to weed out people who don't have bone a fide relationship.

 Hey All!!! Just wanted to say congrats to the first steps toward life long happiness love! I submitted my I129F on 4/22/08 and got my first notification on 5/2/08 but have not received any emails or any kind of notification that my case has been touched since they cashed my check..... cause for worry? I see that many people have had their case touched 5 & 6 times to my 0 :crying: Is there somewhere else I can check?

Thanks for the ear and best wishes to all!!!

Kellie I wouldn't stress myself out over touches. There were numerous reports of petitions getting approved without a single touch. You are still outside of approval times. I believe they are on April 1-7th right now, so do not worry. It's coming!!! And for you, sooner that for anyone else here ;).

Alex: I haven't even noticed your mistakes. Must be tired too :). You better get enough sleep, though. Us ladies need our beauty sleep :)

DairyFarmer: I totally understand the bickering issue. Dave is really a non-fighting person. But me... different story. I am catching myself getting upset with little things more and more... Like everytime he doesn't answere my emails right away or forgots to do smth silly I asked for... I mean, things that would never be an issue if he was here... Am trying really hard to fight myself here :). I guess try not to take your frustration out on John. At least that's what I'm struggling to do here :).

It's just this hanging in the air lifestyle is killing me from the inside. I mean, I just came back from the States half a year ago and settling in here isn't an option, since I will be moving overseas soon. Hense, have a feeling as if I'm living out of suitcase :).

I really wish that those government folks who designed this process had to experience it first hand. :crying:

Well, gotta be strong. Hopefully couple more months and it'll be over. And the party over at the April thread is a continuing reminder that we are getting closer!

We went down from mid-August to early September now. It might be because more filers before you were "found" (filled in their timelines"). Another reason is in small amount of approvals coming through in the last two weeks or so. I wouldn't give up hope though. I do hope to be in the US with my darling in October. Fingers crossed :) Just remember VJ is just a small fraction of all filers out there! :star:

How is everyone doing today? Staying busy and hopeful I assume?

I was hoping to be down before Christmas, but I'm not sure how likely that will be now..the average wait at Montreal has gone down, but it's still about 86 days :S Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and I wasn't able to be with him last year, so I'm still hoping on this year.

I had a really bad day yesterday...I just outta the blue got really frusterated with the slowness of things and broke down. I'm feeling better today though :) I hope everyone else is doing well.

We all get days like that Jen but it makes it more worth while in the end. surely you will be there by October. Does the Embassy in Canada take a while to get an appointment? I thought they would be on the quick side.

hmm...no Montreal is one of the busiest embassies...only Montreal and vancouver do all of Canada for Fiancee and marriage visas :S

I am just guestimating:

get my NOA2 by the middle of August

one week to NVC

2 weeks at NVC

one week to Montreal

86 days till my interview...

one week till I get the Visa in the mail (Montreal mails all their K's out, unlike Vancouver where you can get it same-day :P)

So it's looking like November I think? If I could get there by October I'd be the happiest person! lol :) I know it's coming, and I hope to be pleasently surprised, but I try to stay realistic as well. I know a lot of you are lucky in the fact there are far shorter times for Embassy interviews  ...bah Montreal :)
