Kirk, looks like I'm missing you guys by couple days, lol. I'll probably go to Kiev on the 4th. My medical is the 5th :). Just scheduled it. I still don't know the date for my move, as have to take care of some stuff here in Ukraine. Hopefully not long after the interview, though.

Nat, you can only track the case that was sent to the embassy. Generally when u call NVC they do let you know. So try next week for sure.

Jenni, I still hope you get the good news really really soon!!!!

Ana! Hi! Thanks. :star: We will call next week of course. That's good that you have scheduled your medical. I am thinking when I would like to pass it.

Congratulations to all of you that have been approved or received your Interview date recently. I havent been on here much lately. I've just hit a wall emotionally. It's like I was the strong one through all of this for the first 4-5 months, and then about 2 weeks ago I just ran out of gas. Having a hard time staying positive, and I am so freaking sick of the uncertainty part of all of this. Hopefully that will be coming to an end with an interview date in the next couple weeks.

Anyway.....glad to read about all of you and that things are moving along well for you.

I'll try to check-in when I can, but it's hard to type when your thumbs are up your a$$ waiting on the one ya love.

Bye for now,

Ryan

Ryan, Glad to see that I am not the only man that cracked. I was going to shoot out the tires of mailman to look for my NOA2. Now I have gotten lucky and received an interview date quickly. 10 days until I fly to Kiev. I noticed that your local office is Lynchburg. I was all over VA last week, too and including Lynchburg. I have 5 customers there, some in Roanoke, and others spread out all over the Shenadoah Valley. Beautiful country. I deer and turkey hunt some near Alta Vista and the Smith Mountain lake dam. My exes new husband is from that area. We redneck it up. Stay strong, drink a beer, everything goes so fast once you get the interview date. Yabba, Grabba, brew.

Ana, We will be in Kiev when you are. I think that we will have some down time, just waiting on our scheduled appointments. Where are you staying at? I am assuming with your friends, or maybe your sister. I remember you saying something about your sister living at one time near the Golden Gate. Maybe I am wrong. I do not know Iuliia's plans for me. Okay, I know some. Lucky me. We might be able to hook up and hit De Javue, Obriens, Marakeesh, or Golden Gate Pub. Just please don't let her know what a redneck is. That will scare her. You might be too busy. I will ask Iuliia, but maybe you could give her a little advice in person. It is up to you and Iuliia if this works out. No problem if it does not. Just trying to fill time.

Nat, Still hoping for you to get your interview date in the next 2 weeks. Florida in the winter is a little warmer. How much longer are you going to work? Yes, I will be at a Halloween party. I know that some people in Ukraine get dressed up and party, how about St. Petersburg? I think some wear the same costumes for New Years. This past New Years, about half of the people were in costumes. What a party. By the way, that was not me in the Halloween card picture. That was my date. Oh, now you know better.

Jen, Hockey is going strong. The Hurricanes are looking good again. From west Raleigh you can only be 10 minutes from the RBC Center. Better yet, just hang at the Ale House. Much cheaper beer. I am busy as all hell until I leave for Kiev, but by the time we get back I hope that you have your interview date. Like I said, Ale House.

Ana and Yevgeniy ... congrats on the interview dates, that's wonderful news!!! :)

For all those with a date the next weeks! Good luck!

Ryan and Jen I really hope you get your dates too ... I think we all know how nervewrecking this waiting is, and how longer the uncertainty takes the heavier it weighs ... Just hang in there guys! (L)

Have a wonderful weekend all!

Afternoon May :)

Ryan, so sorry to hear you are down (F).

Kirk, you are right. I'll be staying with my sis who happens to live just around the corner from the embassy (which means I get to sleep in before my interview and won't have to deal with crazy traffic in Kiev ;)). It'll be cool to meet you two, so let's see how my plans will work out. My buddies are planning to steal all my time to say proper good byes, lol :)

Sandra, are you all set for the interview next week?

Hi Ana! I'm pretty much set. The lady at the Embassy said she sent out the 'official invitation' by regular mail. So I'll be having it right on time, Monday. If not I might have to call again. lol

All I need to do is print out some excerpts of the mail (not planning on printing it all, I'm thinking about those poor trees ... lol) and our skype log and all is set.

How are you doing with all the stuff?

Hey you, so glad to hear you're nearing the end.

If I could just have "close" defined for me, I would be alright.

It's like being 8 years old and finding out that Christmas isnt held on December 25 anymore. All your parents will tell you is that "it's not far away". Every hour seems like a day.

I wanna know when Christmas is, d@mnit.

Thanks to the rest of you for the kind words. Hope you have a great weekend.

Hello May filers,

i had my medical and interview today and everthing went great. So now i am waiting for my visa to arrive. Yay :D

The medical took really long, was there for over 2 hours and got late to the embassy but nobody seemed to care about that. I got a number, went through security and into the big waiting hall. I sat down for maybe 2 min before i was called. Went to two more windows and was in and out of the embassy within 35 min. I had gathered so many things as a proof of relationship and they didnt want to see anything. Fine with me.

So good luck to everybody else. I wish you all the best
