Alya, privet :). In all honesty you confused me a little :). So, embassy says they have your case and even sent you a packet last week, when call center doesn't? Is it some weird mis-communication within the embassy? CAuse for them to mail you a packet they have to have u in the system. Anyway, wouldn't trust Ukr. mail, lol. Get the packet off the Kiev embassy website and get going girl :)

Privet Ana! :star:

Thank you for your advices (F) . I misunderstand this situation also. If they sent me Packet 3, why call center still doesn't have my number? It is stupid! :bonk: They sent me e-mail "In reply to your enquiry we shall inform you that your case has been received by this office and Information Packet has also been mailed to your address by the regular mail on October 9, 2008"

And what is? Call Center answered we haven't your number, recall us later! :(

I can't understand anything, but what to do? Will see.

Hope we will lucky and have date of Interview soon! ;)

Hey everyone!

Congrats to all who have been approved, etc...

I've been gone for a little while - visiting Vasya, my fiance, in Russia and have just returned home to the USA...

Our case has not had any updates/touches since Aug. 25! Should I call USCIS? What do you all suggest? What's the number and does anyone have any tips on what to say when/if i call???Has anyone else not been approved or have not been touched yet?

I am sooo worried and starting to become extremely frustrated! I was hoping we could be together by Christmas/New Years... :crying:

Thanks so much you guys! And the best of luck to everyone! :star::star::star:

Anna! Thanks! :star: I am sure you will get your approval soon too. :star::star::star: We called USCIS last week and just listened to answermachine, because they don't give any extra information. Try to think positive and check the website. Our last update was on July 9th, and then they updated it on October 14th. It took 144 days. Don't worry much, though I understand it's difficult.

So you have been in St-Petersburg lately?

Nat! Thanks for your insight and reassurance... it does help knowing someone else is in the same "boat" as me! Ah, well, I guess staying patient is the only thing I can do!

And, yes, I was in SPb for 2 weeks! It was wonderful wonderful wonderful! It was so great to see my boy again... but being back home - soooo far away from him -is much more difficult than I anticipated. My stay in SPb went wayyy too fast - wish I was still there (or anywhere!) with him.

By the way, I am lucky that while I was in SPb there was very minimal rain/wind...there was even a few days of bright gorgeous sunshine, although still cold! Apparently this was abnormal... I hope you were able to enjoy it too! :star::star::star:

As of:

June 26, 2012 - The Hubbs received his 10-year Permanent Residency Card (aka THE Greencard) in the mail today!

At long last, this highly stressful leg of our journey has come to a close - for now - and we couldn't be more grateful and appreciative for all the tremendous help and support here on VJ! Without VisaJourney I doubt we would be where my husband and I are today! Thanks to all!

Oh, Nat, you re more than welcome. I'm just happy your turn has finally come :). If you (Jack) call NVC they'll give you a new case number and you'll be able to track it to your embassy through DHL website.

Alya, I see what you mean... Sounds like very Ukrainian way of doing things to me, lol :). Well, I have everything put (just waiting for my police certificate next week) so I just need an interview date :)

Anka, let's hope this is your last separation from your love and you two will be back together in no time!!!!

Hope everyone is having a nice Friday!!!!

Hey all. Everyone has gotten so quiet around here. Everyone must be getting ready for the interviews. Good luck with all of that.

Nat, Are you still celebrating?

Jen, How was the poking and prodding?

Anna and Yevginey, No news on the interview dates? Just talked to an April filer that has a Nov. 5 interview, same as me.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I'm back, but at work :) I haven't been feeling too great, so no energy to type out how things went. If you're wondering why so many street details, I'm copy/pasting in the Canada forum after I'm done LOL!

So i'll paraphrase for those who were waiting to hear :)

Doctor Doane on Quinpool Rd in Halifax, Nova Scotia

-Got to the Doctor's office 20 mins early on Thursday. He did height/weight, checked my eyes.

-Asked for my pictures which he attached to the diffrent forms I would need to take to the hospital.

-Went down a list of questions (all which I answered no to - he seemed pretty impressed for some reason LOL).

-Looked at my immunization records ( only had my one from NB, but he didn't care)Told me the only shot I need is my Gardisil! WOOT! I thought I would need about 4 :P (I'll get my garidisil shot this week and my family Doctor will fax him proof that it had been given.)

- Looked at my ears, nose and throat. Checked my heart beat, pulse and breathing

-Told me to undress (receptionist came in the room) and stand up to check for flat footedness, hernias, external deformities. Then did the 'lower checks'.

-Told me to dress again. Gave me my paperwork and instructions for the hospital.

-Asked for his 210.00$ 190.00$ for the exam, 20.00$ for the courier cost.

-Went to the hospital (Victoria General - Centennial Building) and to the office. Paid 82.00$ for the xray and blood work I needed done. They gave me a reciept and told me not to lose it - all the nurses in the various areas would need to see it.

-Went up to X-ray (3rd floor Dickson Building) - waited an hour and a half *gag* just to get registered in. Had a very nice nurse. Went into X-ray where I waited another 30 mins. Got changed, and was called about10 mins after I changed. Two views of the chest are done. One straight on, the other on the side with arms above your head. I waited 10 mins after that to get the burnt CD results from the nurse.

-Went down to blood collection services (1st floor Dickson Building). Waited about 20 minutes with another woman who was getting bloodwork for her Canadian papers :) Nurse was uber quick - one vial of blood for HIV test and another one (not sure what it was for). Since I had had chicken pox twice as a kid, I didn't need that test done (although I had had it done at home for be sure). If you haven't had it, or just had it once, the doctor will probably run that test as well.

So, 4 1/2 hours and 300.00$ later, I was done. A lot of very friendly people through the day. Dr. Doane is very nice and quite professional. Staff at the VG were great :)

So now I'm at work on night 2 of 6 this week (sigh). My friend's baby shower was today...it was so cute :D I miss Bo a lot, but I did hear back from Montreal after my 2nd email and they assured me that they recieved my petition and they have my 156K on file, so it will be there for me to sign when I go for my interview (I had sent it with my Pkt 3, and I wasn't suppoed to LOL). They gave no indication how long a wait it was going to be for an interview though. All they said was that once an interview date was available, I would recieve a letter in the mail. It sucks not knowing at all...I can't even make Christmas plans right now

Well, typed more than I thought I would LOL...how is everyone else?

called embassy, we are still not in the system. Ana how did you get the tracking # for the DHL package to ukraine from NVC?

Because i spoke to the woman in Kiev embassy and she's like well it takes up to two months to it processed from NVC and i told her that NVC already mailed it and the embassy received it on the 3rd. and Then she says then i can't do anything right now i don't know why its not in the system. Not helpful at all.

Lets try to think of what to do... I emailed embassy and they don't reply back....

Alex, so sorry to hear about your nephew... That little one has gone through so much! I just hope the surgery went well and they figured out what was wrong with him (F).

Yevgenij , we didn't even get through today :( I did receive an email from the embassy saying we can call next week  to schedule. I guess we'll try tmr again. The lady you've talked to clearly has no clue, while they can take up to 2 months, generally it is 2 weeks or less! To track it use EXP 30 SEP 2008A as reference and than pick date range September 30- October 2. It should show up.

Jenni Glad to hear your medical went well. Sounds very different from what we have here in Ukraine, though :).
