No. If you are unmarried, you need to file the I-129f. If the USC has not already been living in the foreign country for six months and have already filed the I-129f, getting married and doing DCF would definitely not be faster. If USC has been living in the foreign country for six months or more and you have only just filed the I-129f, you would get the advantage of a CR1 visa over a fiance visa, but you may or may not experience less delay by getting married and doing DCF.

Indeed, you not only have to be married; but both of you need to be living abroad, legally for 6 months or more, in the consular district where the filing would take place.
