Charlotte is 6 or more hours from me while raleigh is less than two hours from my place. Is it possible that i could do the biometrics in raleigh rather than charlotte? or do i really have to travel further? :(

I don't think the Raleigh office is fully operational yet. I haven't heard of a grand opening yet as they seem to delay it all the time.

If you are asked to go to Charlotte; go there. Go the day before and spend the night there if you need to. Get in earlier than your appointment if you can because it seems to be a first come first serve kind of deal (it was when I went).

I left a review there if you want http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php

08.2006: Entered with a B-2 visa.

07.06.07: Civil Wedding

07.17.2008 AOS approved with interview. It took 367 Days!

11.08.08: Big family wedding

09.18.09-10.03.09: First trip to France with Hubby

Its only 4 hours from Jacksonville to Charlotte. Unless you get stuck in traffic. But I've never seen Charlotte traffic bad enough to delay you an extra 2 hours.

Hi Shian,

My biometrics were scheduled for 15th of May at my current address, but it happened so I have to move meanwhile. I called customer service and they said I could show up at ASC office at my new address with the original notice. We're going to try to go there earlier and I could let you know how it went if you like.

It's a different area and thereagain it depends on the officials there... But we'll see, I might have some info for you

YEs I don't think it's fully operational yet. I will be filing for AOS soon this May and it's really such a pain having to travel so far for the interview. We don't have any choice, so sad.

Someone mentionned on the July Filers thread that the Raleigh office opened April 25th. Try to get in touch with them then, who knows. Maybe you can get an infopass appointment before your biometrics.
