Agh I love Lost! I have to get into this discussion now.

I think it was bad they didn't do more on the timer reaching zero, they pretty much left it off after it happened. And how was Locke still able to reset it after it had reached zero? I was annoyed by this....they better address this issue in an upcoming episode!

I think he was able to because the countdown hadn't quite finished and also I think this island is just a bog experiment to see how people react in different situations :whistle:

Hmmm...well, if we want to get annoying and technical something like that would never be allowed by APA ethics as a valid psychological experiment (I'm a psych major, I know these things ;) Lol :rolleyes: ).

But seriously, it also occured to me that it hadn't quite finished and there was a little grace period right before whatever it is that happens would happen. The hieroglyphics were creepy looking, weren't they!

ummm, this is a TV show :P , it isn't real life, anything can happen on a TV show

also this is what makes it seem like it is some kind of extreme experiment...

In the Orientation video, B.F. Skinner is mentioned. A famous Behaviourist, who is among other things famous for his "Skinner-Box" he performed studies to map the behaviour of people and creatures, (perhaps a hint of the purpose of the people in the hatch)

I thought the rolling eyes and my indication that I was going to say something seriously after that might have given the hint that I was kidding but I guess not :P

I am fast losing interest in this show with all their feckin' repeats!! and becoming more of a 24 fan now, so much happens in each episode!! LOST is just getting too dragged out I think.

James said the same thing to me, he thinks he likes 24 better. LOST is really going to lose a lot of fans if it keeps doing repeats all the time and I completely agree on the dragging it out thing. Jack and Ana Lucia are also really starting to annoy me, they are always the exact same emotionally (a big stubborn pain in the butt or Ms. I have a stick up my behind so I'm going to act all tough) and there isn't any development in their character. I hope tonight is a good one and they make a few leaps forward in the storyline!

Jack is plain annoying at this stage.I just feel like shaking him :P . Over here in ireland we are only at esp4 of the 2nd series. But thank god for broadband as i just download the latest esp.

He really is! All he ever does is argue with everyone else and try to act like he knows it all and can't take anyone elses advice.
