Ok, I am a Lostie, that part is evident. But I have not faithfully followed this thread. (Actually, I forgot about it for a while) but I don't want to have to try and sift back through all of the pages for this. (did try and went through 7 pages before giving up). So the question is ...who or what is "Hanso"? I saw that used in a couple of posts and have NO idea from whence the word even derives. :help:

I know you are all busy with life and immigration and what not, but are any of you reading the books mentioned in the show? I am going to read the book Desmond had Charles Dickens' Our Mutual Friend. It's about a guy who gets an offer to marry a stranger for a large sum of money, so he fakes his own death so he can get to know her. The Bad Twin has issues with identity theft. Lot of identity issues/clues.....

Anywho, I saw this on a blog this morning:

And wouldn't that be a neat trick - the series isn't about the people on the plane at all. It's about Desmond.

Sort of. Here are some links.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=5427906

Bad Twin by Gary Troup

This title is probably the most talked about book on the message boards recently. This title was just recently published by Hyperion, the manuscript for this book was recently seen in the episode “Two for the Road” and made its first appearance when found by Hurly in “The Long Con”. Gary Troup, a pseudonym for an author that Hyperion is keeping a secret, was supposedly aboard Oceanic Flight 815, but died in the crash. Check out Gary’s “website” here. The library has four copies of this title on order and you can put yourself on hold for one here. I’m still trying to figure out what author is writing under the name of Gary Troup. If you have any ideas, please let me know. Here’s an article about the book here from Yahoo! news and on Amazon.com you can watch an “interview” with Gary Troup here.

Are You There, God? It’s Me, Margaret by Judy Blume

This book was seen on the episode “The Whole Truth”, a children’s book that Sawyer describes as “predictable”.

Lancelot by Walter Percy

Sawyer is seen reading this on the beach in the episode “Maternity Leave”.

The Brothers Karamazov by Fyordor Dostoevsky

Also seen in the episode “Maternity Leave”, this book is given to Henry to read by Locke.

An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce

This title was seen in “The Lon Con” while Locke was alphabetizing the books in the hatch.

The Holy Bible

A Bible is found in the bunker found by the people that survived the crash in the tail section of the plane (or as Hurley refers to them: The Taillies). Inside the Bible, Mr. Eko finds part of a film strip that fills in some gaps to the film found in the hatch.

The following titles were found in the hatch during episode three of season 2, “Orientation”

Rainbow Six by Tom Clancy

The Third Policeman by Flann O’Brien

The Turn of the Screw by Henry James

High Hand by Gary Phillips

A Hooded Crow by Craig Thomas

Dirty Work by Stuart Woods

A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle

Seen in the episode “Numbers” this is the first of two children’s books read by Sawyer on the show.

Green Lantern and Flash, Faster Friends Part One by Ron Marz

This is the comic book that Walt reads in the episode “Special”.

Watership Down by Richard Adams

This is the first book seen in the series being read by Sawyer in the episode “White Rabbit”.

Notice Sawyer is doing most of the reading....SAWYER! LOL
