If Walt was being truthful I guess it means they're all not all poor people in tents eating dry fish, but probably scientists from the Dharma project.

And yeah, I knew Sayid would know Michael is acting strange, they wouldn't have him miss that! He's Sayid for christ's sake! Go Sayid!

And I was worried they'd put Charlie back on the drug just when he's about to get on Claire's good side again, so it was nice to see him resisting temptation.

Locke is now a ? for me 'cus apparently he's gone off track of things he believed in, and it seems he simply doesn't care about what happens to the island anymore, as he's not in the IN group anymore. Didn't Henry say Locke is one of the special people The Others want? Why wasn't he on the list of 4? Hmmmmm.

I think Michael said "OK, but I want the boat" meaning the boat that pirated the raft trip.

Ach so! I forgot about that boat. Yeah that's probably it.

And I can't wait for next wednesday!!

before Lost, they wee nobodys! I;m sure casting could come up with just as good if not better cast of 4.

but yeah, ya h got a point. but you cou still put it off. a number of episodes would use these 4 showing how ther are being handled by the others. plus, the usual Lost flashback thingie.

It looks like they are going to have some action outside of the island too with Desmond's girlfriend trying to find him/island.... My one question is how does she know about it.... I was thinking maybe her dad is Hanso..... did somebody catch her dad's name?? I think they mentioned it but I missed that part

You are not the only one. Everything was going great up until the last 15 minutes and then I was like . It was indeed a lot to digest. Someone joked on one of the message boards that the others are simply Penelope's ex boyfriends that daddy Widmore banished to the island to keep them away from her.

A few shockers for me:

1. Desmond was in prison
   
2. Desmond met Libby and Libby gave him the boat
   
3. Libby was married and to someone named David (like Hurley's imaginary friend)
   

At least we now know:

1. Why the plane crashed
   
2. Pushing the button discharged the electromagnetic "build up"
   
3. What happen to Kelvin (When talking with Jack Desmond had made sound like he died of some disease)
   

Now we have a million questions that won't get answered until October:

1. WHO THE HECK ARE THE OTHERS
   
2. What is Non-Henry Gale's true role/position
   
3. What will become of Sawyer, Kate and Jack
   
4. Who will run the LOSTies camp now and what will they do without a doctor
   
5. Are Desmond, Eko and Locke alive
   
6. What are Lady Penelope and Daddy Warbucks up to/ what is their stake in all this
   
7. Now that the hatch is destroyed, how will Kate shower and pretend she doesn't know Jack is around the corner
   

Oh yeah, and what's up with the four-toed statue of liberty and where are Sayid, Jin and Sun??? Where will Michael and Walt end up. Hopefully Jack remembers the latitudinal/longitudinal whatever directors Fake Henry gave Michael.

hmmmm

still did not see a hot latina coming into the show to replace Ana Lu. I had my hopes up when the new incident was happening. maybe another plane being downed. but alas.

yes, Desmonds gf Penelope is one determined lady with big bucks. she hired some folks, who speak potuguese and english, to look for desmond. i have no clue how the heck they "found it" wathever that may be.

so, i was right. the four are captured by the others. now this gives the writers to develop another set. maybe one of them is a hot latina.

what the hell is hurley/hugo gonna tell the group? oh, and did that bird really squawk "hurley"? and if so, what does that mean?

dunno about the sailboat threee. maybe they simply go back to the group and report what they saw and go about trying to find how to rescue the kidnapped 4. oh, yeah, didsayid set off the smoke signal? or was that really the others who just happen know everything that is going on?

michael/walt.... my bet is they go back to camp to make up for being traitors. that is one tough bind i say that michael is in. and if he does choose to follow the coordinates, where does it really lead to? if back to normal world... does he run into Penelope's hired guns and lead them back??? or back into the real world and that is that, the end of walt and michael in the Lost series?

ummmm, I didn't say it WAS Hanso..... I did mention that I missed the part where they mentioned his name.... I have a feeling he has something to do with the Hanso foundation though

I think they found "It" because they detected the out of the oridnary eltcromagnetic activity.... at least that is what it said on thier computer screen

Desmond was in a military prison and dishonorably discharged.

He was in love with Penelope Widmore, the daughter of the super wealthy Charles Widmore...Widmore Labs(Sun's Pregnancy test)..Widmore Labs on the balloon basket that the real Henry Gale piloted..Widmore Construction(on the sign in Charlie's flashback)....There has been some speculation that Widmore was in business with the Hanso Foundation, who is behind the Dharma Initiative.

Libby gave Desmond the boat that her husband named after her...I believe that this is pre-mental hospital..He had only recently died when Libby gave Des the boat(1 Month ago, she stated)

Number reference in the show: 4 dollars for the coffee..42,000 for the boat....

Also 4 toes on the statue...I have no idea what that was but I love Sayid's line about "hat's more disconcerting: The fact that the rest of the statue is missing or that it only has 4 toes?"....

The bird definitely said Hurley's name and it sounded like Libby...Sawyer with a great line: yeah, right before it crapped gold...hahaha

Kelvin was the same guy that Sayid met in Iraq, who told Sayid that he would have to torture his fellow officer...another coincidence?? I think not.....

Kelvin was working on the layout of the hatches on the blast door..He was completing Radzinski's work..Apparently Radzinski was his partner, prior to blowing his brains out with a shotgun...Interesting side note: Radzinski killed himself the same way Sam Toomey did...almost the same exact wording as well....Sam Toomey was the guy who used the numbers to win a bean counting contest in Australia(Hurley's lottery flashback, season 1)...

In the very beginning when Sayid approaches Desmond about the boat, he tells Des that he needs to get to the North side of the island and Des says "Where the hostiles are?".....later when Desmond tells Kelvin that he wants to go outside, Kelvin asks him what about the quarantine and the "hostiles?"? Very odd...are these the "Others"??

It makes me wonder if Kelvin died...or Radzinski for that matter..when the blast doors where triggered during the "Lockdown" episode...what caused that? Was someone able to trip them so that Locke would see the map and go to the other hatch? And when Henry said he didn't push the button and nothing happened, did he lie to Locke so that Locke wouldn't push it? Causing it to go off??

"Electromagnetism, geologically unique," Kelvin answered, in a moment of alcohol-induced candor. "The incident? There was a leak, so now the charge builds up and every time we push the button, it discharges it before it gets too big."

Electromagnetic anomaly:apparently the island possesses a strong magnet that if not discharged, releases a giant wave of electromagnetic activity that could be strong enough to bring a plane down...I'm no rocket scientist but I'll go along with the fact that since Desmond didn't push the button, he may have caused the plane to crash...

But that doesn't explain everyone having a connection to each other...Life is pretty random and what really are the chances that these people would all be brought together like this?

Libby gives Desmond a boat so he can sail around the world...Desmond crashes said boat on an island, where he's dragged out of the water by the SAME guy that Sayid first learned torture techniques from in the Gulf War,which when captured we learn that it was Kate's dad that was part of the unit that captured Sayid. Let's not lose sight of the fact that Des and Jack were running in the same stadium, right after Jack operated on Sara, his future wife, who was in a car crash with the father of Shannon, step father of Boone....these are connections..not random encounters...it's all too weird...

Penny Widmore says "with enough money and determination, you can find anybody"..lesson learned form her father maybe?..looks like she's using her money to seek out Desmond..She's got two researchers somewhere in the arctic tracking electromagnetic anomalies.....So the good news is that someone is looking for that island!!

The coolest thing about tonight's show is that it debunked a whole litany of internet theories:

Time travel: The printout on the computer confirms the crash of Flight 815 happened on Sept.22, 2004(at 4:15..2 more number references)..so they are current in the sense that this show doesn't take place in the future..or in some time warp...the other cool thing was Locke confirming that they have only been on the island about 60-65 days....so it looks like it's Thanksgiving,2004 in island time...which explains baby Aaron not growing much...but it doesn't really explain how healed up Sawyer is from the gunshot wound he received about 20 days ago.....very curious....

Purgatory: My least favorite theory...by showing Penny Widmore and the 2 research guys at the end, this is the first time that the show has referred to the outside world existing by showing that the island is actually a place that can be tracked...which debunks the theory that it's the last place on Earth and that all of civilization has been wiped out except for our losties....

What it doesn't explain is what or who the "Others" are and what they are up to...

It looks like Henry IS the "Him" that the "Others" were afraid of.....very cool stuff there, putting himself in harm's way to find out what the Losties know..That should be a cool flashback next season when we see what led him to put himself in that situation versus sending someone else...

We'll just have to go off of Henry's word that they're "The good guys"...He did honor his word and reunite Walt and Michael..He wasn't happy that he had to give Walt up but he said he was pleased with what Walt was able to accomplish in that short amount of time..what that means, I have no idea....

So now we have our Losties hooded and hogtied at the end of a pier where they are apparently "coming home with us" as Henry put it........where the heck is that?!?!?...

Look for next season to delve more into this mystery and we'll see more backstories on some of the new characters they

Remember Rose and John had that conversation in the episode that centered around Rose and her hubby....
