As some of you may or may not know, we are currently filing for our K1 at Vermont while I am here on the Visa Waiver. I arrived on March 17th and intend going home on June 11th.

What we are wanting to know is, if it makes any difference to the time that Vermont processes the petition because I am currently in the Country than if I was back home in the UK?

And has anyone else done the same thing as us?

I dont think it would make any difference, but you need to be home for the packet 3 which will be sent to you from the embassy in your country.

Already called Continental and they said that it would be £50 to change flights to any day earlier, other than weekends pretty much. I hope to spend that £50 Sal and Jay, let me tell ya!!!!!

I was visiting Eric when we filed, it didn't make any difference. I came back home shortly after.

You should be fine as long as you don't stay passed the time that you were admitted to remain in the U.S.

I filed my petition while my husband was visiting me in the US.

It makes no difference at all in processing times. Just don't overstay; fill out the box on the I129F with the I94W number for this current entry; and have someone at home watching for your P3 if you think you will still be stateside when it arrives.
