anyone from the philippines experience this???

my fiance had his blood test at St Luke's philippines.... did that include the HIV test???

so now here in california.... he had his TD shot (tetanus diptheria) and the nurse was requiring him to have another blood test for HIV??? is that necessary??

It should have included an HIV test. If you do not have the results from the test they may require their own.

Yes HIV is tested for before they will issue the visa. HIV is one of the medical reasons for inadmissibility.

Try a different civil surgeon, this should not be needed to test for this for adjustment of status.

Lastly, this is not a K-1 visa process question, you are past this and are adjusting status, this should be in the adjustment of status green-card forum.

were not sure if it was included but it shouldve been right?? or else he wouldve gotten denied before he even got to go here to the US??? the results of the blood test and everything else done during his physical is with the USCIS/ embassy right now so we havent seen any results...

The results were in the brown envelope that you turned in at the POE, and is now at USCIS.

You can even send vaccination record to the US CS in Texas that will do the supplement for $20.

I had my blood tested in Indonesia by the US Embassy Appointed clinic (to get my K-1 visa), and yes they did test me for HIV... The results were then sent to US Embassy directly and sealed into an envelope that I surrendered to an immigration officer on the port of entry to the U.S.

Yes, the blood test that St. Lukes took from him was for HIV. Tell the nurse that he already got her full medical exam back in the Philippines, TD is not available there so he need to take it here in the US. All you need to do is to take the vaccination records that St. Lukes gave him together with the TD shots record to the Civil Surgeon.

STD = can be anything passed through Sex, Aids is a STD, but not all STDs are considered to be of public health significance.
