God continues to lift the curtain and allow the enemies of America to give us probably what we deserve.

-- Rev Jerry Falwell, blaming civil libertarians, feminists, homosexuals, and abortion rights supporters for the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, to which Rev Pat Robertson agreed, quoted from John F Harris, "God Gave US 'What We Deserve,' Falwell Says," The Washington Post (September 14, 2001)

The ACLU's got to take a lot of blame for this.

-- Rev Jerry Falwell, blaming civil libertarians for the terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, to which Rev Pat Robertson again agreed, quoted from AANEWS #958 by American Atheists (September 14, 2001)

And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People for the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- I point the finger in their face and say, "You helped this happen."

AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it is God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals.

Grown men should not be having sex with prostitutes unless they are married to them.

I do not believe the homosexual community deserves minority status. One's misbehavior does not qualify him or her for minority status. Blacks, Hispanics, women, etc., are God-ordained minorities who do indeed deserve minority status.

-- Rev Jerry Falwell, USA Today Chat, quoted from The Religious Freedom Coalition, "The Two faces of Jerry Falwell"

“Christians, like slaves and soldiers, ask no questions”

Trying to make Obamas pastor seem less moronic by quoting other morons Steven? Isn't going to work. Just because he has company does not make what he says any less inflammatory. Keep trying though.

Hahahha, get out of my head! That was exactly what i was thinkin!

LOL...that's not my point, Gary. It's the hypocracy by some who for years not only didn't bat an eye over what conservative pastors like Falwell and Robertson have said, but considered their support and influence something to be cherished. Obama has made it clear about how he feels about Wright and there is no political endorsement nor support...there is no political connection. This supposed 'guilt by association'...it's becoming comical.

The Moral Majority and later the Christian Coalition were powerful conservative lobbyists....helped many Republicans win elections. Are you saying you support the views of those leaders (Falwell and Robertson)?

McCain didn't sit and listen to them for 20 years now did he. McCain has not defended their views as has Obama with Wright.

What is wrong with what these guys are saying anyway. To be honest I never had an issue with what Wright said. After all this is what American liberals beat on about day after day, year after year. Or does their convenient interpretation of the 1st amendment only apply to wanker liberal ideology. The problem I have with Wright is that if someone white had said stuff like that about the black community, your Jesse Jackson would be demanding their Obama equivalent stand down. And protesting outside their church.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Yes. I would think freedom of speech applies to all and not just American liberals pushing their death to religion / pro marriage rights for oppressed Shih Tzu agenda, no??

Keep trying Steven. It isn't going to stick. We are talking about McCain here and not other Reps.

Interesting reaction considering your other comment.

Farrakhan's

Look you can't help if freaks attach themselves to you, Obama is the man, even freaky crazy Farrakham knows it, and who cares about Farrakhan, I am not scared of him or any of them, and won't change my mind about Obama either, I am not that stupid to believe all the ####### thrown around. So what if Charlie Manson likes McCain, what then, matter a fact I think I will write Manson and a few others and see if they will endorse McCain. THINK FOR YOUR DAMN SELF, FREE YOUR MIND. What are you really afraid of, free health care, clean energy, or do you think Obama will enslave the white folks. You interested in some beach property in Florida, beautiful and I will cut you a deal.
