DS-230 pt 1 and 2

hello all...

just wondering about the the DS-230....does part 1 needs to be sent out and part 2 needs to be signed in front of consular.....im reading the US embassy in japan website (http://japan.usembassy.gov/e/visa/tvisa-ivi130check.html).....

i've been reading other people's post and comparing it to the webistes' info and im getting confused...would someone please enlighten me on this DS-230....

well ds230 part 1 & 2 stay together if you do send them out all depends on what class of visa you go for you posted in k-3 form so i dont think you need this form till you get to embassy if your going for cr-1 then you will need to send to nvc when and if you get that far with both parts filled out and only part 1 signed you will sign part 2 infront of consulor is correct. but fill in you time line so people can better understand how your fileing good luck

thank you so much for the reply....i will start the k3 visa process shortly after we are married this month...your explanation was very good and clear to me....i will be posting my time line soon after our marriage....
