True,

Can you fill in a timeline? It would be very helpful for VJers, especially when answering questions. Normally after receiving a marriage certificate, you need to get married! In way of order, upon entry to the US the beneficiary needs to apply for SSN, then once you have your marriage certificate, you need to get married. Following the marriage you need to get a vaccine done, then apply for AOS.

I presume you are on a K1 visa since you mentioned you will be wedded next week. You are probably married now since your post was on April 29.

After getting married, the next step will be to file for Adjustment of Status ( AOS) so the fiance/fiancee will be issued permanent residency . VJ has a great guide on the process, what to submit , where to file etc. etc. Also, Sheriff Uling has a comprehensive guide in this forum on how to do about it.

If your fiancee/fiance has not obtain her/his SSN, get one after marriage.

Hope this info helps.

Removal of Conditions :

August 16, 2010 - Petition received by USCIS Vermont Center

August 20, 2010 - NOA1 received

October 4, 2010 - Biometrics

January 3, 2011 - Permanent 10 yr. Green Card Received.
