Wow, so many new people since I was here in the past, and so many visa approvals from Egypt. That's much better than the super long APs that were the norm over there when I used to come here.

Congratulations to all of you reuniting, marrying and soon to be reunited. You're bringing back a lot of memories for me.

Thanks for the updates on Kelly Jackie. I wish I could check in more today but I'll be in telecons most of the afternoon. Guess I'll have to try to check in on the breaks.

Charles, maybe JP is "busy" elsewhere today. Or maybe she just can't sit down long right now.

Gas prices in Georgia are currently between $3.42 and $3.60 a gallon. They've been going up about 10 cents a week around here.

t and a - don't spoil him now. Just keep cooking what is normal for you and he'll get used to it. If you spoil him once you'll be stuck doing it forever. Thank goodness Abdel understands that I work full time and go to school part time, so he eats whatever I cook or pick up or whereever we end up eating out. I do know he is going to enjoy when I graduate and finish finals so I can cook more. Can you grow your own tomatoes? That sure makes it a lot cheaper when they expect everything to be made fresh. We've found a produce stand run by a Hispanic family that has much better prices than the grocery store so we don't go broke when we shop for fruits and veggies. We've also got a vegetable garden and an herb garden which help a lot in the summer.

melinda - I'm so happy for you!!!! I remember those goosebumps knowing he was at the airport!

t and a - you need to use Barilla and not let hubby in the kitchen. cut up a tomato, tousle your hair to make it look like you slaved all day over that sauce and then serve it to him ;) I used to crush my own tomatoes way back when but that was before kids. Things change but just kick the jarred sauce up with your own little things and no one will know the difference.

kelly - I can't wait to hear! you are one brave girl for wanting to rough it out at home but it's nice that you have friends that are with you at home to see you through it. I hope all goes well and you and baby are snuggling soon. :luv:

Still sick so I'm home today and going to the doctor around 2ish. Last night was pure hell for me after eating dinner I could barely move from the nausea. Today is a little better but I have been only eating extremely small meals throughout the day. I hope the doctor can figure out what's going on with me soon.

Side note: do any of you muslim couples pray together? Just wondering how that's going for all who have been reuinited and if you like it or if you prefer to pray alone.

whoops....aj I am soooo happy for you too!!! You've waited so long and bringing in the pic is such a good sign I bet he'll get it by the end of next week for sure!

love to all I missed.

No offense Tasha but if you served me Ragu I'd be kinda pissed too LOL. (F) Does your husband not like things too tomato-y? Mine doesn't so when I make spaghetti I take a small amount of sauce and cook it into the cooked noodles. Homemade spaghetti sauce is way easy, just about as easy as opening a jar of Ragu. Large can of crushed tomatoes, 3-4 cloves of garlic (minced), olive oil, salt, pepper, basil (dried or fresh). I sautee the garlic in the olive oil until slightly browned. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for maybe 10 mins or longer if you like. I often add a bit of sugar to tame the tartness of the tomatoes. In the summer, I make my own sauce by chopping bunches of tomatoes and letting them simmer in water until completely cooked and sauce-like. For the kids I puree it in the blender.

Hey all Happy Tuesday! We are old married folks today! Got hitched yesterday, nothing fancy just the judge doing the duty for us. Kind of sad though we only have two pictures of it but oh well! I think my hubby is missing his home cooking. I think everything I make he looks at like I am trying to poison him. I made spaghetti last night and used Ragu and he said in Egypt we make it fresh with tomatoes and this and that and this and that. I have had to go in the other room to bite my tongue so I wouldn't go crazy on him.

I'm so glad that Mohammed is on his way Melinda! Congratulations and have him call Ayman when he has time! I am sure you are a ball of nerves but really Ayman said Immigration Control was awesome at JFK...no problems at all. He said he had no trouble finding where to go everything was marked properly also when he did his transfer flights. Call me if you need some TLC!!

AJ1 awesome for you dear! It sounds like you are well on your way to having your habibi home soon! I will continue to pray for you and everybody else that is awaiting their love ones.

As for Kelly my prayers go out to you too! I hope you have a very healthy delivery and baby.

God bless everybody!

I would give him 2 options. Either he can do half of the cooking or you will quit your job to ensure he has the finest home cooked meals. lol.... That one always works for my hubby.
