Thanks all....its getting to be annoying though...every night he complains about the same thing...and its like he is waiting for me to do something like i'm the reason why this whole process is taking so long...especially since he has an older brother who got married too and it only took him 6months to get through this process...that was about 4 years ago though...but he just doesn't understand why ours is taking so long and i tell him its not just ours its a whole lot of others...but Lita you are right it seems at like the 4 month mark we get into the petty arguments more so i'll probably just hold my breath and buy the tickets...it is very much needed for the both of us....

Yeah, he's just frustrated. Me and the Mr. have issues too once it gets to the 4 month mark. I think thats when your faith is tested and the devil is released to try an reck havoc on your lives. It is very difficult to be away from the person you are in a relationship with. After awhile you start to forget them and who they are cause you are only left with memories. Then your mind starts to play tricks on you. I say its worth $600 to visit your husband and cater to your marriage. Your marriage is a priceless jewel. If you can lock in a ticket now, go for it. It will truly rejuvenate your relationship to be together.

Keep the faith. I am praying that September gives us waiting some good news. Even if I dont get a date but other VJ'ers do I know that the embassy is moving and making there way towards me.

Marlta, I agree 'I say its worth $600 to visit your husband and cater to your marriage. Your marriage is a priceless jewel." Being married and separated is the hardest thing to do, it is different than if you are engagned or dating. You have already made that commitment to serve and spend the rest of your life with that individual. I hear what the others are saying, but I still don't believe that they understand the strain and pressure being married and separted put on you. Yes, if I had to do it over, I would do the K1, but I married my husband because I wanted us to begin our lives together, not understanding that the visa process could take a whole year out of our marriage.

Malta, glad to see the earth quake didn't shake you.

Roxcie

You know I truly beleive in the scripture that goes " a man will leave his mother and father and be united as one with his wife". It is literally like you are one person and can be very difficult. I can't imagine those of you who have been married for years before living in the same country. It is hard. Yeah I think the K1 would have been a different feeling. Just to know that I made a commitment to Evan and God and that there is this person out there apart of me tears me up sometimes. I think if we had not married it would have been difficult but a different sensation too.

Oh please do buy the ticket. I tell you. once me and Evan hit 4 months all craziness breaks loose. If we were not married it may have been a strain that ended the relationship. But we try to just pray about it with one another and truly realize that God is moulding us into something that we have yet to understand.

You ladies are right....it is VERY hard. I haven't seen hubby in over 8 months with another 3-4 to go (because of his deployment) and it's extreemly difficult. Thank goodness for the internet and the phone because without them we would be lost.

Be thankful that you can buy a ticket and go see him. I'd give anything to be able to do that...but alas, there's no waythat is possible. If you can go see him now I suggest you do it...time is going that you'll never get back again, so enjoy it while you have the chance.

I was just saying that i feel for military wives. It has to be hard being away from each other and being deployed during a time of war.

Yes, this is exactly how I feel. I feel like my husband in deployed somewhere. I will get through this, but believe me when I say I will work at making this marriage work, and making sure we are happy through out this process. I hate when others have control over my life.

I was just reading this on the Jamaican Observer...it said it had 86,000 non immigrant visa since Oct 1, 2007...when you calculate that it comes to at least 285 interviews a day...WTH...and thats just non immigrant visas alone...what about immigrant visas???...you hear nothing about these...they mostly talk about student visas, business travellers, and vistor visas...this is so crazy...when i first got on this site the wait used to be 2 months for an interview date and now its pushing to 5 months...this is so ridiculous...

Where are you flying out of, I see where Spirit Airline has flights in September for 359.00. Now that is the cheapest I have seen then in a long time. Again this from DC to JA.

Hey Jay;

I pray that you all get an interview date soon. On the day of my interview they had 220 interviews (1-day). My number was 192, but they were calling them out of order. It was fustrating.

I am coming out of New York going to Mobay...I want to go down from August 24 to Sept 1 which is still about $480...I saw sept tickets for like $303 but my hubby doesn't want me to come down in sept because he wants me to spend time with him on his bday (Aug 29)...

I hope so Tre...i just feel that they don't give any recognition to immigrant visas and only to non-immigrant visas....why can't they just make it fair and even them out...like one month only focus on IV and the next month focus on NIV....thats fair right....

A wah di rass?!!! What is this all about? Now I'm happy for IW an all but this is getting to be a tad bit like a slap in the face. CR1 cases have been complete for over 4 months now and still waiting! AND its not security checks we are in DOS and NVC say so. Checks have all been done, its just waiting for the embassy to give them dates. Why is the embassy skipping all the CR1 visas? I got a KNG number back in March!!:angry::angry::angry:

I'm sorry, but this might actually been some of the most depressing news I heard on here about the wait in a long time. :(

I feel the same way...Congrats to those who will soon be united with their loved ones but the embassy is totally forgetting about us immigrant visa holders...since we have to process through NVC the embassy does not even notice us...they probably don't even know how far back they are with scheduling immigrant visas...i think Kishmar said that an operator told her that sometimes the embassy only gives them 5 slots for the month for immigrant visas...do you believe that...5 slots for the entire month...while they are doing 280 odd interviews a day and we only get 5 spots...this is too much...i know we will still have our day but why do we have to wait so damn long for it to finally come....:(:crying::cry::girlwerewolf2xn:
