Good luck, Philly.

Best advice is to just hang in there. Wouldn't count on a really fast interview date. But, it will soon come.

Amen!

I know that some ladies that got a case complete in November are still waiting on an interview date if that helps your idea of a timeframe. It seems that they are only scheduling one month of case completes at a time..good luck!

Thanks ShrewdGal, it just really seems like forever! If only the NVC would give any indication of when the interview would be. I'm just going to keep calling the NVC and harass them (nicely) :innocent: until someone tells me something LOL.

Good luck on your interview! :star:

Phili,

You're going to drive yourself insane doing that.

yeah. they actually tell some people to stop calling.

they only schedule for a few days so calling so much would be useless. and for a CR-1 visa they are given appointments from Kingston so they wont really know when you might get an interview

I've given up calling them. I think I call once a month. They tell me the same #######, that doesnt make sense. It sucks. Now I am gonna go to JA and come back with that pain in my heart from leaving my husband and spend anniversary alone and have no word from the embassy with regards to a date.

Marlita, I understand how you must be feeling right, so close, but still far enough apart. I hated to leave my husband last week when I returned from JA. I called him as I was boarding the plane and he said get out of line and come back. I was so tempted to do it, if the flight steward hadn't interject her self in my way, I would still be in JA today. When I married my husband I didn't realized this separtation would be so hard. We were counting on his work visa to come thru. The work visa happened, but because he is married to a USC, they (the company) didn't want to risk it.

I tell him every day, that if there was the possibility I could get a job in JA, I would move there, but I have too much invested here for right now.

The lonelist doesn't hit until you have been back home a couple of days, then it hurts. I also understand what you meant on the other thread by how much harder it is, because you live alone. Also now friends and family don't understand the pain you are feeling by this separation. I hope I can show as much class as you have shown in this time of waiting for someone else to make a decision on your future. Keep up your class act and go and be with your husband and enjoy it to the fullest. Go and make memories. Smile when noone knows what you are smiling about. Laugh out lound about your private jokes. Cry when it hurts, but don't stop loving him.

Be Bless

I am crying over this post. :crying:

Not sure I can even finish the thread...

I must say trulo's signature gives me hope. :)

(((hugs to all of you)))

This is so sweet , I feel the same exact pain. It's wonderful when you are together with your spouse but that ride to the airport is the hardest! I am so trying to be patient but it's so hard! I just returned from a 14 day visit over the Holiday, and now our wedding anniversary is upon us next month Valentines Day and it will devastate me to be apart on that day so I will just have to go back. The separation just does not get any easier!

OK I won't call the NVC everyday but every other week :innocent:. Also I have a close friend in JA who's friend works at the embassy she is going to see what she can find out regarding this scheduling business. She actually was able to help my friend obtain her appointments for the visitor's Visa. So we will see what can come of that, if anything.......

I continue to pray for patience daily.

The ride is hard, but the hardest part to me is that last look (and kiss, of course) the two of us share before we part ways. Last time, he stood with me in line for a little while (can you believe there was a LOOOOONG line waiting to go into the MBJ security room! That was a first) and when we parted, I noticed ALL eyes on us. At least that stopped me from :crying:, as I usually do.

Yes you are so right that last look and kiss before you part is the killer :crying: . My Hubby always waits with me until I go through security in Kingston and I used to bawl :crying: as I entered too and he would just hold me. I try to be a little less dramatic these days  I just try and hold the faith and pray :innocent: next time he will traveling with me. (L) Well I say that now LOL but we will see how I hold up when I return from this upcoming trip in the next week. LOL

I am sure we have! Where is your hubby from? Not that that matters - we are usually all over the island, lol

Hi Sus sorry for the late response on this reading back through the thread I saw this post. My Hubby is originally from Grange Hill, Westmoreland but moved to Kingston as a teenager. My Father's family is from Betheltown, Westmoreland that's where I spent most of my younger years on visits . When my hubby and I got married we got a place together in Kingston (L)

Greetings everyone,

Just to brief you on who I am and my status. I was the one on here whom the lawyer dumped b/c I was asking too many questions. Long story short, we resolved the issue, he is back on the job and the case is near complete.

The NVC sent a request for my husbands current birth cert.(bc) apparently in Jamaica at one point they had hand written bc and in the past year or so, they have upgraded to the computer generated ones, so that's what the NVC is requesting and then the case will be complete and sent to the Embassy in Kingston. Why it take 3 days to get a printed bc in Jamaica..........go figure? Anyway, my question is . ................. We have been approved since October 2007. I129f and i130. I have been trying to email and correspond with the embassy in kgston on their procedure on how to abandon the i129f because we decided to wait for the immigrant visa instead. I haved emailed them 3 x and they keep responding by telling me; right now to tell my husband to come in and pick up the K3 packet with the ds230 on April 14 at 1pm and wait for the interview date for the immigrant visa. I don't know if I am making myself clear to them or what. I do not wish to delay this process any longer. Why would we need the K3 packet when we are going forward with the immigrant visa? I don't know if we should take this opportunity and go in person and tell them we want to abandon the i129f K3 visa and submit the waiver packets or what. Our attorney have even emailed them as well, asking them their procedure on delivering the waiver packet and they just respond by keep telling us to come pick up the K3 visa packet. I don't want to confuse or delay our case because we are so close to getting out of this. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do you think they are really reading the email correctly. I wonder are they hooked on phonics or chronic..............LOL  Sorry, for the long email.

HI Sweetness

I was also approved for both I129F and the CR/1. I chose to go the immigrant Visa route so I just began to pay the fees for the CR/1 and submitted the associated forms and never pursued the K3. I never recvd any further correspondence on the K3 did you recv your invoice and submit your payment for the AOS I-1864 yet?
