~11-21-2008- VISA APPROVED!!!

My Case was sent to the Kingston Embassy today

Congratulations....but i don't understand....your case was not completed at NVC but they forwarded it to the embassy???...i did read somewhere though that if you have two rfe's NVC will just automatically forward your case to the embassy and you just have to bring the missing documents to your interview...wow...congrats though...lets see if they schedule your interview date within the next couple of months.... :thumbs:

04.09.2008: Case# assigned

05.12.2008: DS230 Entered into System

06.18.2008: Case Complete (So upset that it took this long 37days)

US Embassy:

10.29.2008: Interview Date Assigned

11.17.2008: Medical Appointment

12.03.2008: Interview Date (FINALLY!!!)**APPROVED**

12.08.2008: Visa Delivered

12.21.2008: POE JFK

thats why K1 seems to get quick interview dates bacause kingston already has their case

but foreverido is a CR1 not a K1....Portland is a K1 and i understand those skip NVC and go straight to the embassy....but not CR1s....but i think since foreverido had 2 RFEs is gets automatically sent to the embassy...not entirely sure though...

Hmmm, I wonder if Foever's case was actually forwarded or if it was just complete. My case was complete in May, but not forwarded until like September. They dont forward it til you have an interview date cause the NVC has to schedule the date first (for CR/IR) before sending it off to embassy. I never heard of the automatic forwarding after 2 RFE. That seems unfair. You dont have all your stuff an then you still get expressed to the embassy for a date, while those with all their doc complete have to sit at NVC and wait for a date? IDK.

I just did some other paperwork that originates here and that required a US police record and it said doen within the last 6 months, though.
