Thanks guys, I think i need to go eat. I am starting to feel dizzy and nasceaus. There is just so much going on right now, and I have no idea what a CR1 person needs to bring to the embassy. He has the "proof stuff, but all the official forms the NVC took.

Does anyone know of any other stuff he should bring with him? He is a bit stressed to cause he is now going alone. I know it will not be the end of the world, but I just feel so unorganized.

He lives in Negril and works in Mobay, so to get all the way to Kingston, for the medical, and then have to get all the way back there again to pick it up wont work. I think we are just outta luck. He's still gonna go to the interview....i am likely not going to JA anymore, cause these people act like money grow on trees, and this is about a $900 trip for me if I go.....makes no sense. This is why I wished they could tell you something quicker. I'm made at myself for not having Evan make an appointment earlier.

Honestly, re-reading this...I think he should try his luck in Kingston...He can't take the day off for the medical and another day off to pick it up????....I know it is about a 3 1/2 hour trip from Negril to Kingston but I would rather do that knowing that I will get my results in time for the interview...BUT only do it if they can guarantee your results in time...It is better than getting a reschedule interview...you don't know if they will give a date one month or two month after...I wouldn't want to take that chance...I know your hubby would have to take a third day off for the interview but you don't think his boss will let him take the days off since he will be leaving soon or is he planning to stay in JA for a minute...???

NVC Journey Total days: 75

It should be just this....I posted this earlier:

For the marriage visas all I think we need to bring are:

Medical Exam Results (if you plan to pick them up which i highly recommend)

4 passport size photos

Beneficiary Passport

The police certificate (remember they gave you two where one was an original that was sent to NVC and the other was the carbon copy that you should still have)

I would also bring original copies/certified copies if you have even though NVC should have forwarded them to the embassy:

Marriage Certificate

Beneficiary birth certificate

And then your "proof of relationship", photos, phone bill etc....I would also bring your I-130 approval notice...i remember a VJ member posting that he/she got blue slipped because they asked for proof of filing I-130 which i don't know why they would ask since they wouldn't have gotten that far if they weren't approved but he/she had to come back with the approval notices...

He actually plans on quitting his job the friday before interview. He is trying to work as much as he can to pay for his plane ticket. I've been saving AJ miles and I have enough to get 2 rountrips from JA to Florida....of course I am in CA. So I would purchase a tix from another vendor for that. I have to think about this...there are a bit to many options on everthing. What sucks is that I am 7000 miles short of being able to buy up a roundtrip ticket from LAX to JA.

Lita - regarding the miles thing. See if you can "buy" miles to supplement what you already have. I haven't done it myself but I have heard of others doing so. Might be something to check out. Could be cheaper than a FL-CA flight.

Lita,

Reading today's post I was glad your date did not change and then I read more and thought...WOW. Right now I know you are stressing over the situation. Take some time to relax get your mind off of it and perhaps you will see a different avenue. Remember sometimes it is best to leave it in GOD's hands. Let him show you the way out.

Remember if you need to talk you have my #....

Also well atleast we know the medical won't be $300 US$. I guess they decided not to rub him in 24K gold....Right Tash?

Hey Marlita,

hotwire.com had a flight for $545.70 that I found this morning 10/19 - 10/24 on American Airlines

not sure how much you wanted to spend. I really hoped that you could go...you wanted this so badly. I'm sure Evan will be fine without you...but you have talked about being there with him since you filed. Sorry babes.
