Forbes,

They always tell you to bring that amount which is around $21,000/Jamaican. Marcel brought that amount and only paid $6500/Jamaican. He needed no shots. They tell you to bring that amount incase you need extra shots. If his shots are updated, tell him don't worry. Just bring that amount, it don't mean him ago use all a it.

Please add me to this list. My case was complete at NVC on September 30. I know you guys have been waiting between 4 and 6 months for an interview. An NVC rep told me point blank that Kingston takes the longest to assign interviews, so I guess I'll in the hurry up and wait mode.

I am trying to be optimistic though and praying for a November interview. It would be some vindication for the nine months it took VSC, then CSC to approve my case. :star:

HELLO TASH,

MY HUSBAND SCHEDULED HIS MEDICAL FOR NEXT WEEK THURSDAY. HE CALLED ME TODAY TO TELL ME IT WILL COST $300 US$. I TOLD HIM I WILL BE CALLING THEM TOMORROW BECAUSE HIS SHOTS ARE UP TO DATE AND THERE IS NO WAY A PHYSICAL SHOULD BE $300

If all his shots are up to day, it should be right around $100. Someone is trying to pull one over on you.

MARLITA,

I THINK YOU NEED TO EMAIL THE EMBASSY BECAUSE I GOT PACKET 4 WITH AN INTERVIEW DATE OF 10/21 @ 7:30 AND SENT IT TO HUBBY. HE RECEIVED THAT PACKET AND ANOTHER THE SAME DAY. THE SECOND PACKET 4 GIVE THE NEW INTERVIEW DATE OF 10/24 @ 7:30. THEY NEVER SENT ME THE SECOND/CHANGED DATE PACKET AND I ENDED UP PAYING $100 CHANGE FEE.

EMAIL THE EMBASSY PLEASE

Hi Forbes,

Oh so they also changed your date as well. My Hubby received the orig Packet 4 with the Oct 21st date, last week but we are still waiting for the 2nd Packet with the correct date. So hopefully tomorrow or the beginning of next week. We want to schedule the appointment to see the Dr sometime next week. Yes, Marlita I would email the Embassy just to verify the interview date, as NVC does not know when the Embassy reschedules interviews and we the petitioner will not get that new info.

OMG!!! I CANT BELIEVE THIS!! i EMAILED THEM SAYING THAT I NEEDED THIS INFORMATION AND THEY NEVER EMAILED ME BACK.

 I dont think I am going to the interview now. The flight i got, didnt go through, thank God, cause looks like the date woulda changed. So now I am back at square one. no clear date, no flight, no hotel. And now the timeline is 2 weeks before i need to leave, so tickets are like over $600!!! Not the kinda money i got. SoooooI think I may just have to arm Evan with all the evidence we have (JG, I might just print the blog) and email it all to him. I am on the phone with him now, and he is upset too, but we both feel like this is so ridiculous that its this close to the date and the embassy is not informing us of anything.

You are going to be fine, Marlita. Do what you think you need to do. IMO, I don't really think it makes a difference if you are there or not. If you are prepared, you are prepared.

ok, so now the drama is the medical people are saying they wont have the medical in time for the interview on the 21st. Embassy wrote me and of course my interview is still the same 10/21, but Evan made his appointment and the quickest they have is next thursday. So now he wont have his forms in time. What does this mean? Will he get a blue slip to come back to show the medical or will medical send to embassy at a later date and then issue him a pink slip.

I am so stressed to day and emotional I can cry!! I argued with the Mister last night so I am just in a bad mood, then I was gonna apologize to him, but of course his phone NEVER gets ANY of my texts so he never calls me when I want him to. I cant call him, so I just wait. When I finally hear from him he doesnt even have the number for the medical people to call them. I have to find it and he calls them and gets this mess about not getting medical done in time. So now I am running around emeiling the embassy and asking what i should do. I dont know what to do!!

Which medical office did he call???...I would check the other embassy medical location to see if they can get him in any sooner or if they can even get his results any faster...I would still have him go to the scheduled interview and see what happens...you never know he might get his result sooner than what they "predict"...

He lives in Negril and works in Mobay, so to get all the way to Kingston, for the medical, and then have to get all the way back there again to pick it up wont work. I think we are just outta luck. He's still gonna go to the interview....i am likely not going to JA anymore, cause these people act like money grow on trees, and this is about a $900 trip for me if I go.....makes no sense. This is why I wished they could tell you something quicker. I'm made at myself for not having Evan make an appointment earlier.

Don't worry....Pray that you get your result before your interview...have Evan tell the doctor if they can put a rush on the results because he need it for the interview...you never know....I'm praying for you girl....I'm feeling it for you.... :crying:

Marlita, try not to stress to hard - you have come so far and the finish line is in sight! I believe that if he doesn't have the results back in time they will give him a blue slip or approve it pending the results -

Similar situation happened to my friend when she had her gc interview here - (different visa situation) - She had been out on maternity, and had literally gone back to work 2 weeks before her interview at a new employer - So she went to her interview with a photocopy of her paycheck, because she had gotten it the day before - They approved her pending her providing proof that the check had been deposited into her bank account.

I think that if you have all of the evidence required, or proof that you have done everything that you can to get it, it will be approved pending your providing the info.

They said they may be able to do something....you know what that means...paying somebody under the table. I think I am more stressed about not being able to go. It just makes me so sad.

I posted in the other thread but will post here as well. As long as you have the medical before the interview and are just waiting on results I believe they will do the interview and then issue you the 221g (blue slip) for the medical results. Then when he has them he will go back and submit it to them and that will be that. When we had a 221g for paperwork all A had to do was go back with what they requested and he was approved right then and there...got the visa shortly there after.

Try not to stress Lita...you are doing the best that you can with the info they have given you. You know Evan and you will be in my prayers.
