No news yet from Tash and Forbes???...this is so crazy...the last IR/CR-1 VJ filer we know for a fact to get an interview date was Trulo and that was way back when...i think his case was completed in early March and he got a date in early June...Its going on five months now with nothing!!! ...which means i might not have my husband up here until January of next year..... ...no way...please tell me that won't happen...

Its actually 6 months. Tash and Forbes will be at 6 months IF they get an October date. I am at 5 months already.

When will you guys know if you got an October date or not? Are they still filling up the dates at this point?

We have no idea what is going on. DOS cant help us, NVC is incompetent, the Embassy is like from another planet and have no idea we even exist. So who knows. I wish there were more I-130 people on here for JA, cause at least we can know of if ANY body is getting dates. Maybe Lawny knows. She seems to know a few people in this process.

This week is suppose to be the week when they assign interview dates...i called yesterday and of course didn't get a date but she said they are still scheduling interviews for this week...when i was talking to hubby yesterday he was saying he thinks the embassy will start assigning more dates for immigrant visas because usually around this time of year work visas come to some sort of "hold"...i guess since its near the holiday seasons....hopefully what he said is true...i checked the embassy calendar and only see two days filled for October...usually by this time the whole month will be filled up so that might be a good sign...positive thoughts...positive thoughts...

My friends that are in Jamaica are also waiting. I feel it for them. They were all hoping to have this done by August. A few of them were hoping to get to the states before school opened since they have kids in Jamaica, but that didn't happen.

I wonder if this delay has anything to do with the election and them trying to process the people apply for U.S. Citizenship so that they can vote...just a thought.

Thanks for the info Lawny. I hope what Jgay said is true. Maybe there was some back log with the work visas and such. I checked the website and only 2 days were filled and usually almost the whole month is filled by this time. Prayers to all of us still in the waiting game. The mister seems to be getting a new found solace in all the waiting too. I guess you just get to a point where you just wash your hands of it and let God be.

Hi Everyone,

I've been trying to get in touch with a NVC representative from yesterday and it's always busy. Then my Hubby text me today asking did I hear anything from NVC? I told him I still cant get through. So I waited a few minutes to try again. Finally I was able to hear the automated system, but my status still didn't change. So I waited to speak with a representative. The guy asked how may I help you today(after going through the verification of name and DOB of beneficiary and petitioner and phone #) and I said I called to see if our case has been assigned an interview date. He replied, "Yes you have a date for Oct 21st at 7:30a" I was so shock. Finally this day has arrived. I had to ask him to repeat that please. He told me that a letter was sent out to the both of us Sept 12th.

So ironic, yesterday I sent off a final package to my Hubby containing more pics of the last time we were together, along with updated pay stubs and phone records. I knew this day would arrive any day now. Truthfully how things were looking I didn't think we would get a date for Oct. Sorry, It didn't come to mind at the moment to ask if they were still scheduling for Oct.

So Forbes, I think only you and I were left to be scheduled for the month of April for a IR1 or CR1? I would call NVC and find out. I pray that you will hear good news and that everyone else afterwards will follow shortly. Sad that it took us 6 months But the long wait is finally over. I'm more excited of course then how he expresses himself but I know he is. So I will keep everyone posted. Also, please pray for the both of us that the interview goes successfully and smoothly. He claims he's not nervous. Time for me to read through the threads to read up on others experiences and what to bring.

lol, thanks I felt the same way. But I'm not certain if I'm going or not. I guess if the letter doesn't state I will not need to. Plus I can use my remaining vacation days for when he arrives. I notice you're next in line on the Timeline. So if not Oct, let's hope Nov for you. Thanks for updating my timeline.
