Have a question and by calling the USCIS is getting no where as I'm being transferred from person to person.

My husband arrived in US on Monday, April 21st. We are going to be sending in the I-485 and I-765 together. We are doing the K3.

For question, I 765 number 16 - what the correct answer A9 or C9?

I have seen it both ways. Then also to verify - we send both documents to the Chicago address?

Any help is appreciated.

05.02.2008 - Sent AOS & EAD package to Chicago.

05.04.2008 - Package recieved in Chicago.

05.09.2008 – Received NOA's.

06.04.2008 - Biometrics appt.

07.25.08 - Work Permission Received in Mail

07.28.08 - Applied for Social Security Number

08.04.08 - Received Social Security Number in Mail

09.29.08 - Started job

01.29.09 - AOS Interview

Since you are applying for them together, you will be using C9 based on pending I-485.

Some K-3's file for EAD BEFORE AOS using A9 and pay the fee for EAD, and then file AOS closer to their 2nd wedding anniversary. Doing this typically gets AOS approved after wedding anniversary, and then gets the 10 year unconditional green-card. The fee for EAD is less than the fee to remove conditions later.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
