my sister had a small mole removed from her back and it left a 1/2" scar on her back. I don't want a 1/2" scar behind my ear. Then I will know that's there!

That's insane - you don't get 1/2" scars unless the doctor is incompetent.

I had several moles removed and don't have any scars at all - I can't even find the places anymore.

just asked my sis and she said it was her GP that did it not a surgeon.

My GP surgically removed a mole many years ago - you can barely notice the tiny scar. If you can get it done for free, then go for it- it is obviously bugging you.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I did a double today...I had some laser hair removal (underarms - hate shaving) so I also had the mole behind my ear removed. It was painful when he injected it with the lidocane but the laser portion was pain free since it was numb! I have to go back in two weeks just to make sure all of the pigmented areas are gone. If they're not they may have to go over it again. I also got to wear some really sexy bright orange sunglasses that were massive :P

I had 2 moles (the size of pencil's eraser) removed from my back by my GP and they left ugly scars. The one on my lower back really shows especially when I'm wearing low-rise jeans/shorts and it's really yucky. My GP said it's because it turned into a "keloid". Part of the reason why it became that way is I got the wound broke open the day that the stitches were removed. They had to do another stitching on top of the already damaged tissue. I kind of regretted that I had it removed at my GP's but we were afraid that the moles were cancerous. And they had to do biopsies to make sure it's not malignant. The scars are really, really ugly, plump and dark. I cannot wear bikinis anymore because I look like I got 2 big roaches on my back. :dead::dead::dead: Husband's thinking of taking me to a surgeon and see if it could be fixed.
