laser mole removal

I have a mole behind my ear that can't be seen but it drives me nuts because I know it's there. I'm looking at laser removal but was curious if anyone has done this before. A few of my family members have had moles removed by having them cut out and it leaves really gross scars. I'd rather have a freaking mole than a big azz scar. Anyways, I read that laser removal reduces the risk of scarring to almost none. Has anyone done this? What were your results? Any scarring?

Why do you care if it leaves a tiny scar *behind your ear*?

So cutting them out leaves a scar? Damn I read online that I could take it out with a nail cutter and I was planning to try that!!

Only a tiny scar - and always better than the mole itself.

my sister had a small mole removed from her back and it left a 1/2" scar on her back. I don't want a 1/2" scar behind my ear. Then I will know that's there!

btw I'm a freak. the only scars I have are tiny and from having things pierced. I'd like to keep it that way :)

Well when I pinch it with my nails it hurts. So I bet the nail cutter will hurt a lot :(

I've also read a doctor can 'freeze' it off.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

the laser removal my dr will just do for free because he just loves me that much. if I wanted to get it cut out I would have to go somewhere and pay for it. I just want to make sure I'm not going to get some scar anyways.

omg that's OUCH! don't do it troll! he tried to cut bosco's ####### off with nail clippers using the same advice

My best friend removed a huge mole on his ear with a laser, there is almost no scarring at all but he said it did hurt/burnt quite a bit. I also had a mole removed but it was cut, but I must say I have almost no scarring at all, if I didn't tell you it was surgery you could never tell. I guess it all boils down to how big the mole is and how nice the plastic surgeon wants to be when he performs (esp the stitching, they told me there are different ways of doing it and some leave less scarring than others-not a doc though so what do I know?lol).

That's insane - you don't get 1/2" scars unless the doctor is incompetent.

I had several moles removed and don't have any scars at all - I can't even find the places anymore.
