290 days and still waiting.

I'm just wondering if anyone stuck in Vermont has seen any activity, touches, approvals, etc.

For me no touches since feb. but I was told that my case is with an adjudicating officer now.

I hope this is something good.

No still nothing for us from VSC. I am pissed off living in limbo here, so hard to plan a future when I have no idea when I can join my wife. This really is a disgusting process we are being subjected too. And what makes it worse is that there appears to be no order to it, so some are left waiting for ages while others get approved quickly. It's the waiting that is torture! Do I have 3 more months to wait, 5, 6?????????

Jon, the fact you're with an adjudicating officer sounds like a good thing .... I'd start checking your mail box and emails everyday .... like you're not already huh??

It'll be nice to see Vermont pull another approval out of the bag.

To be honest, I think they'll turn their act around soon ..... as soon as they've finished piddling around with the H1-B's .... well, I hope so.

At least you're with an officer, I'd expect something any year now

And my fellow Cornishman, tell me about it ..... I've decided to totally concentrate now on getting rid of the stuff not going with me ..... and being prepared for approval, a faster NVC time than ever before and an interview before Christmas 2025. That way I can get a plane ticket the day after I get my visa and be Stateside with my Husband before the ink dries on the passport stamp.

I'd be surprised if you're going to be waiting another 3 months to be honest with you.

Hey Sarah. Yeah I hope I'm not waiting more than 3 months, and how about those that have been waiting longer than me like poor old Jon! Gotta feel for those. Looking at the timelines I would expect something to happen very soon, but in reality that doesn't seem to be happening. Even if it is another 3 months to approval, then it's at least 3 until all the other stuff is done and I get the visa. Arrraaagghhhhh!!!!! Like a lot of us I think if we knew more we could deal with the wait better. I am like you though. A lot of my stuff is now in the USA with my wife and I am ready to go as soon as I get the bloody thing. I am going to drink a few beers on that flight over!

Lets hope VSC sort it out now so we can get on and live our lives instead of living in limbo. Sorry to rant but sometimes it good to vent and you guys know what its like. I am a teacher and every single day, on numerous occasions, I get from the well meaning kids "Sir, why aren't you in America yet?". They are really nice and mean well but are driving me nuts!

Cheers!

Yeah, I feel sorry for the poor buggers who are waiting forever ..... it's shame we don't come under the US Human Rights laws like the H1-B people do. But the approvals will come, and I really don't think it will be long for some strange reason.

At least now the NVC take online payments which will speed us all up, so technically we've lost wait time there .... all good.

C'mon VSC you bunch of dyslexics ..... just start approving people in the order they applied and you can't go wrong :bonk:

No news from VSC either. All of t his waiting is a bunch of bull!! With all the focus on naturalization and H!-B, I don't think they'll do anything to accommodate tax paying US Citizen who are legally trying to bring their spouse here.

I noticed that VSC is now has a lot of openings for adjudicators... I'm thinking that they probably only have one person working on cases. Maybe one of us should apply and get the ball rolling for them.

Good luck and hope something miraculous will happen soon.
