Its a rebate on your 2008 taxes, so it is your own money. So regardless of what you think of Bush, your money is your money.

For some people it is their money coming back, but for others it is other peoples' money, because many people who didn't even pay taxes will get the refund (at least partially). I personally am not so thrilled by this part of the deal.

I guess even people who don't pay income taxes pay taxes of other kinds (sales tax, gas tax, etc) so maybe I shouldn't complain too much.

Right but the deposits are going out early for the people who would have received them on May 2 which I would be.

The primary. If you filed as a married couple, the return is in one persons name with the other person listed as spouse. The former is the primary.

Only some people in the first group were supposed to get their direct deposit Monday-Wendesday. 800k a day or so. On Friday, the rest will all go out to the first group.
