We're suppose to be in the May 9th batch for direct deposit. We do qualify - married filing jointly with dependent children.

As of right now, there's nothing showing in our account. :-( We never rec'd the 2nd IRS letter in the mail and the IRS check the status of your stimulus payment says they have no information.

Anyone else here still in limbo that was in an already scheduled batch?

Is there an IRS # to call to ck status?

Yeah, we were scheduled for the May 9th deposit as well. The only thing I can think of that would have made ours different is that we owed. But we used direct debit for the payment and we know it was accepted by the IRS...so...I don't know. They don't say anywhere if it's different if you'd owed. And when we filed Turbo Tax said the stimulas would be direct deposited into the same account the payment was direct debited. *SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGH* :crying:

A. No, the account information used for an incoming direct debit payment to the IRS cannot be used as the account information for the direct deposit of the stimulus payment. People who choose direct debit to pay a balance due will receive their stimulus payments by paper check through the mail. [updated 3/3/08]

Q. I plan to choose direct debit to pay my tax bill. I know my economic stimulus payment will not automatically be direct deposited based upon the direct debit information I've provided to pay my tax bill, but can I also enter direct deposit information to receive my stimulus payment by direct deposit?

A. Some tax preparation software will allow this, some will not. You will have to make this determination based on your own review of the tax preparation software you use. If the tax software allows you to enter both direct debit (electronic funds withdrawal), as well as direct deposit information, doing so will allow your economic stimulus payment to be direct deposited. We got ours but it wasnt a week early for us like they were saying.

Ours should have got here technically on May 9th. The reports were they were gonna be coming earlier than expected; however,

we got ours direct deposit on May 12th and then we got a letter in the mail that said our direct deposit would be arriving soon.

That was dated May 14th LOL. So the letter was later than the deposit.........oh well.......money is here and safe in savings.
