I mean, what if the cord is around his neck or he's breach or something?

I am sorry I am not usually one to start trouble, but why would you say this to her? Someone about to give birth does not need to hear something like this. She is going to the doctors today I am sure he will monitor the situation.

Kelly you have nothing to worry about. My babies both of them just didnt want to come out they loved it in there. I had to get induced both times. Sometimes you just have to get induced. Hopefully it will happen for you naturally soon, in the meantime hang in there and everything will be FINE!

I certainly wasn't trying to cause her to worry. That's why they put women in labor in the hospital and monitor them, so if something like that is going on they can do an emergency C-section and everything is fine. I'm terribly worried that a woman going through a lot of labor at home could have unknown complications and could have problems that could easily be detected and prevented if a doctor was monitoring.

By now Kelly should have been to the doctor and hopefully they are getting that baby out of there. Any woman who is having contractions that close together and is that far along really should get to the doctor, but I understand Kelly wanting to be strong and maybe not being aware of the risks, which is why I brought it up.

Good Luck Kelly!

Oh Kelly I hope you are having that baby and relief is in sight for you.

I will be at work when the party is happening so have a great time.

I have two more days before I get laid off and start contract processing. I will still be able to do the same thing just from home. I pray that I can find a few other places that also need the same thing.

LOL im here....no zaid...but thinking ill go in tonite...

Im 3 centimeters dilated and well on my way...the doc stripped my cervix and the contractions have begun...he says no more than 48 hours but, because Mr Zaid passed his non stress test with flying colors, the doc wouldnt even induce til next monday...im thankful to be 3cm and still sitting in the comfort of my home, all my girlfriends and sis in law already had epidurals at 3cm and were chained to a hospital bed for 2 days...maybe this will call for a nice quick labor for me...who knows

and liz...although what u said might freak some out, FEAR NOT...lol...i was thinking the same thing all night with the contractions. but, now the NST is done, i am content knowing the little booger is just taking his sweet ol time...u know what they say, like father like son...

Thanks Kelly. I didn't mean to freak anybody out. I'm glad to hear he is fine and all the checks show he's just hanging on trying to keep from leaving his warm nest. I guess a lot has changed in childbirth since I had kids (my boys are 22 and 26). I did lay in labor in the hospital for 36 hours with my first and yes, it was pretty miserable. But with my second I knew to ask for the pitosin so it was only 15 hours (only 2 after they turned on the IV full blast.) Is there a reason they don't want to give the pitosin now?

One thing's for sure, after all the labor you've been through, a natural childbirth with no epidural should be a snap if that's what you want. I had my second natural and it was much easier than the first. Of course everything had already been stretched out the first time so I'm sure that had something to do with it, but the epidural with the first made me sick to my stomach while after the second one I felt great.

I sure hope the little guy decides he wants to see what mom looks like from the outside soon. It sounds like you've been through enough already.

Today I require a new baby picture. If you have one :) She is so precious. I asked Ammar if she looked like an Arab and he looked at me and said "No, she looks like a baby." :)

well....... ok:)

I actually took this pic this morning just for you but its taken me all day to get photobucket to resize it without kicking me off the internet all the way. aargh.

daddy to be is napping...something i wish i could do....and liz...call me ignorant but i intend on getting an epi right upon getting to the hospital i have heard from alot of people an epi made them vomit, but, i think i would take vomiting over knives twisting in my back....the pain is close to unbearable now as it is...but the contractions are not regular so im dealing with it....

i am ready, well as ready as to be expected...I dont know that I will ever feel perfectly prepared for him...new mommy anxiety i guess...of course it had to go from 80 degrees to 30 in the past few days, i thought i would be bringing him home in the perfect weather. had to adjust his going home from the hospital outfit just a tad...

2 of my girlfriends are coming by to keep me company, ill keep ya'll posted

p.s. what time is melissas soiree?
