Yes, CIA director Porter Goss is "resigning." Wink, wink.

What it means is that he was probably going to be canned and was given a face-save opportunity.

Abby (U.S.) and Ewen (Scotland): We laughed. We cried. Our witness didn't speak English. Happily married (finally), 27 December 2006.

Latest news: Green card received 16 April 2007. USCIS-free until 3 January 2009! Eligible to naturalize 3 April 2010.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

CIA Director Porter Goss has resigned, President Bush said Friday.

[...]

Last fall, Goss defended his agency's track record and insisted "we know more than we're able to say publicly" about terror chiefs Osama bin Laden and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The al-Qaida leaders haven't been found "primarily because they don't want us to find them and they're going to great lengths to make sure we don't find them," Goss said in a November interview on ABC's "Good Morning America."

Yeah, if only the terrorists just gave up, we could win the war on terror! It's not fair that they won't give up, don't they know life is like a freaking movie where the good guys always win? Why won't they play their part and just give up, waaaaah.

We should send them some movie tickets, that could help them learn about certain things... ;)

That was Porter's plan. But he figured out that you can't send the tickets if you don't know where these terrorists are. See his dilemma? That's why he quit. :P
