I talked to operator . My I 864 is not complete because number 13 should be filled not blank . Can I use the same bardcode to send the new one in or wait for the letter. Anyone done it before. Please give advice. I did exactly like VJ example. Every question should not leave blank. Thank you

when i went through your post now i dont know what to say, i guess a lot of people would get RFE for that. because i went through the form now to find out that if the address is different from your mailing address, so if the address is the same i dont think one has to re-write. did the operator tells you that u have to re-write the addres or put N/A OR NONE? and by the instruction on the form it never says that dont leave any place blank except the ds230.i hope those people who have had their case completed will shed some light to this because i just sent my I 864.

It says right on the I-864:

Place of Residence

(if different from mailing address)

This would suggest that you only fill it out if it is different, however, it's not surprising that they would send an RFE for it.

If you want to go ahead and use your barcoded coversheet to send back the RFE information, sooner, I would recommend that you call NVC again and ensure that this is the only information they are requiring.

I had an RFE and sent the information back early with my own coversheet and when I received the actual RFE it asked for more information than the operator at NVC had told me about - so best to double check before sending anything back.

Good luck

Can i edit the barcode in MSWord copy itself>>> i mean the word underneath the barcode when you first generate it...can i take it out in the copy itself by cropping it?
I m not the lucky one because i talked to the supervisor who said It s not required if different. Someone opened my envelope may be new. Anyways, I already sent new one back with the same barcode that i made copy to NVC yesterday. Do not worry guy. Depend on .... Good luck.
