(L) Hi,

Am new here, so please bear with me ok. I am engaged to a man, who currently lives in Malaysia (past 8 yrs), but his home country is Nigeria.

My question here is, which consulate will he have to go through when it is time for his interview? Malaysia or Nigeria. I am very unsure of this and need advise on this matter.

Thanks

Maybe he can go to US embassy, Malysia for interview if he lives and work in malaysia right now. I am not sure. Its better if you/he contact the US embassy malaysia.

My guess is that your fiance is a legal resident in Malaysia. In that case, he'd have to present his interview in that country.

My father is from Peru, but he has lived in Colombia since 1979 and his interview will be in the US embassy in Colombia.

However, my dad has to get his police certificate from Peru, so eventually he has to go there to get that certificate, it's likely your boyfriend also has to do the same.

Good luck, Cesar

If he is going to be in Malaysia at the time of the interview he should be able to have it in Malaysia.

You may want to ask the consulate to see if they are going to need proof of his residency in Malaysia.
