The USCIS Online System

Check this out....I recently became a US Citizen (timeline below) in March 2008. I also happened to file a I-130 soon after that. I created an online account to track the I-130 filed for my wife. However, I never did that for the Naturalization application. After no touches in almost two months to the I-130, I thought let me just play around with the system. I thought to myself, what would happen if I put my receipt number for Naturalization in my current 'portfolio.' It should show me that the case is approved and completed, right? or at least having a touch as late as late December (that's when I got my interview notice for Naturalization)....right? no? yes? Check out the attachments as I was shocked to find out that my Naturalization case is still being displayed as 'pending' in their system and the last touch was July 2007....meanwhile, I now have a naturalization cert and a US passport.... :bonk:

could this online system be as random and sporadic as the real life processing of the applications to the USCIS? I know some good IT consultants if the service centers need to overhaul their MIS.

i certainly don't mind not being able to track my I-130 online accurately, as long as they process it faster than my naturalization application.. :D

please post any thoughts / experiences related to this topic....would love to know what sort of reliance i can put on their online system.
