Hi every one . I just have a quition . I am a green card holder that applying for my wife ( I 13o) since novmber 27 2006. I just want to know if i become a US citizen How long dose the i 130 takes to get approved after i make an upgrade for my wife from green card to a US citizen holder ? thanks for the help

Hello Mike, if you are a resident it would take you a whole lot longer to bring your wife to the United States (I think something like ten years). However, if you wait to become a citizen, the I-130 process will take you about one year. At least that's what it took to bring my dad over from Colombia.

Hi cesar . thank you for the replay , yes i am going to the citizenship test next june and some people told me that i can update the i 130 for my spose after that and the uscis should count the time from novmber 2006 untell the update . thanks again
