it doesnt sound like it is just an opinion, you stated a fact earlier, then restated that you dont know then now its just an opinion.

was it also an opinion when someone replied to a post that this "person" needs a psychiatrist more than a visa? it has nothing to do with this topic, but im just asking your opinion about this. is this a fact or an opinion?

Now I see where the hostility is coming from. Loterly was referring to a post when she was thinking about burning her wrist to hide a scar on her wrist she did to herself. She was trying to avoid counselling ang was gonna lie about and and I told her that maybe she needs that counseling.

Shape, please, please accept my apology. I did not mean to offend you. I was merely pointing the fact that the way your affidavit was formatted was "probably" not enough. and that people who wish to submit affidavits should submit proofs of the bona fides of relationship. Not the "wedding"

i feel guilty about this discussion because i was the one who ask shape for a template for an affidavit...

You don't need to feel guilty or anything, actually it's not only you who asked for my sample of affidavits we submitted to the USCIS.

I hope i made clear to everyone that i didn't post this to others to do exactly what we did. Of course you guys have your own minds and own ways how you will present yours. It's up to you guys how you can add something or delete something in our affidavits based on your cases.

Calm down. I guess pushbrk opinion does perfectly make sense and logical. When you get married there will always be wittnesses. After that you will be offered the certeficate. The rest concerning a relation has nothing to do with eating and drinking in the wedding day.

Please follow pushbrk advice. He is the most respected with the right information. I guess this information from shape is misleading and will make everybodies life more complex by going to the court which have no significance. There are thousands in these forum approved even without a photo and the papers like Shape.

To clarify my topic, never had i mentioned any words obliging nor commanding anyone to follow exactly what i did. But i don't think anyone here has the authority to tell me upfront that i'm misleading people. Its an accusation you just said to me. I respect Pushbrk's credibility, but some just skip important "words" that i clearly wrote "This is the format and body of our Witness Affidavits that we enclosed to our IR-130 petition (spouse), I hope this help you guys."

Thank you Loterly for being open-minded and for having a positive perspective of what my intention is. I feel sorry that you got embarrassed here on this topic. I understand you're not taking side on me but you were just trying to explain to everyone that i really don't intend to mislead anyone. I am just sharing what my affidavit looked like that we sent to USCIS. If any of these guys can post here the correct content of the affidavit they think is okay then that would be nice of them. But anyway, affidavits that we submitted didn't do any harm to us, because if they did any harm to us then definitely i wont be posting it.

And, BNM, Do not ever accuse me that i am misleading people here because you don't even know me.

Shape has done nothing wrong. She offered information in good faith in a genuine attempt to be helpful. I responded because I think the format and not the content of her affidavit examples is helpful. If the content affirms only that an official wedding took place, then the affidavit doesn't serve the purpose intended in item 5. This is because the bona fides of the marital RELATIONSHIP are not addressed.

I don't think either the presense of or content included in any such affidavits is of consequence one way or the other for newlyweds who've never lived in the same country. As such, I don't recommend those people delay their filing and reunions in order to get affidavits that aren't actually needed or helpful. However, there are visa cases such as DCF, non-visa AOS only cases and cases where the couple has lived together for some time prior to embarking on hte visa process, where such affidavits may be helpful or even critical. In those cases, I don't want people to use the content examples shown here as being helpful. Format good. Content bad. (in cases where it matters)

All this personal stuff, just serves to obscure the issue and spread discontent.

i feel sorry for you aswell that by doing good things, in return some would accuse you of something which im most certain that it never crossed your mind. ive been reading pusbrk's posts aswell and i find them really helpful and with all due respect pushbrk, i admire you coz your intention is to share informations.

but to you BNM,announcing publicly here that she is misleading the readers would ruin her credibility. credibility is hard-earned like money.once u lost it,it takes time to earn it back. so who's misleading who now?

I gotta say, sometimes your "bed side manner" isnt the greatest in the world Pushbrk but as always your words are helpful and true, a true blessing for all of us. As for the rest of what was happening with this thread, The tension and stress that we all have to go through is enough, why bother yourselves with more stress or aggrivaton over what someone said. People will alwas be people in that we think for ourselves, we are all very opinionated, and we might not get a long. I have found myself in many a situaton on these forums where someone wanted to start a fight about something that has no bearing on life at all as far as I could see it. I feel awful that I didnt make their day a bit less boring by giving in and fighting with them but I just dont have the time or the desire to get myself worked up because people are different.

Good luck Everyone. Good job on what the Thread is about "Witness Affidavits" which is still very helpful if you ask me because some people that can not provide original marriage certificates in certain countries can use these i am sure. Its just like pushbrk said , these really have no use for proving Bona fides of marriage.

Perhaps you just want to say something nice but how could you possibly use these affidavit examples as a guide, given you already filed I-130 and I-129F last year?
