Hi All VJ mbrs,

After marriage we are planning to go for our honeymoon to Ft.Lauderdale

if any one been there could suggest is it a good place?

is it expensive to stay

sightseeing around n activities?

since i would not be wrkng so we are on tight budget i hv to live on Pri's svngs atleast for this trip...

I live in Fort Lauderdale... and yes, it is an expensive area. We were looking at taking a mini-honeymoon and staying at a posh resort in the area for a weekend but the cost was outrageous! But there are cheaper places to stay...

Our favourite places to go are Butterfly World (tropical greenhouses full of butterflies and a lorikeet house and flower gardens), the Orchid Society Gardens up in Boca, and we've also been to the Flamingo Gardens and a few other touristy places. You can take a boat cruise along the canals to admire all the swish houses... I really want to go on the Jungle Queen for this, preferably on their Dinner Cruise where they feed you as well.

Miami is only an hour's drive away... there are touristy places down there. And the Everglades are about two hours west.
