Our interview went a lot like Okidoki's.

Here is our story:

My fiance's interview was April 28, 2008. He was interviewed by a blonde woman with glasses. She was very nice and asked him only a few questions. She also asked him to sign the form DS-156K swearing that he will marry within 90 days.

In the interview she asked him for emails for the past 2 years, and he let her see them. She told him that she would keep them to review.

She also gave him a form that stated "This office regrets to inform you that it is unable to issue a visa to you because you have been found ineligible to receive a visa under the following section(s) of the immigration and nationality act.", but on this form what is checked is "other" and written beside it is "we are reviewing the documents provided during your interview. We will contact you when our review is complete."

Has anyone else received similar forms? Does this mean a visa will be issued?:help:

Any advice, comment, or thought would be most appreciated. Thank you :)

All you can do is wait for that call, either to come get your visa or that after reviewing your documents, they want more proof. There is no such thing as to how things are normally done. Good luck.

My husband received the same on his 1st interview for his K3. He was called 12 days later to return on April 30th for his 2nd interveiw. It went pretty well from what he told me. She told him that the Visa was approved, he was given a green paper and told to come back on Friday to pick up the visa. BUT!! On his way out, he was stopped by the security guard and told to go back. He goes back to the woman who says "SORRY but I can't give you the visa today" then takes his green paper and give him another white one that also is checked with "OTHER" but reads that it needs AP and they will call when it's complete. The woman told him that they would call in 1 week. I'm trying to keep positive while they keep us going on this roller coaster.

I called the DOS the day after his 2nd interview and the woman I spoke to said they were running the securtiy check on him and that could take a few days to a few months. She said if he is not called this week to call the DOS back to get status.

Hope this helps!!

Good Luck!!

Hi Okidoki,

i'm sorry that you are still waiting for your visa... i don't know why it takes so long, but i know you are not alone. i think this is standard procedure for Casa, you pass the interview, but you don't get the visa until they finish their "administrative processing." we are in the same boat as you...

did she give you any time frame when it might be finished? did she take your passport?

i think you can call DOS to check the status of your petition... and you can send an e-mail to the consulate just to check the status. but other than that, i think we just have to wait. it is heartbreaking.

good luck! i hope you hear some good news soon, inchallah.

keep your faith and say prayers for all of us, (F) (F) (F)

Salaam Stacy,

i don't think it is good or bad... from what i've read, i think it's just CASA and the unpredictable way that they work and process visas.

a lot of us have received this form. i think they are just reviewing the documents provided in the interview and then will continue with "administration processing." Inchallah, they will review the papers quickly and you will have your visa quick! i hope so... for you, me, and all the others in the same boat.

inchallah tout se passe bien, (F) (F) (F)

take care
