Steve and Mike. I was just told about this website from my brother. Unfortunately I am related to Armando through marriage. However thankfully we don’t share blood. I am not an avid viewer of the Television show, however on occassion I have seen it. There was one show in particular, I believe this was the show where they purchased the home from a flipper who had gotten in over his head. Veronica sold a home to a woman with red hair, who was purchasing the home for her son who was moving to San Antonio from California. The lady got out of what appeared to be a silver colored Dodge vehicle. This woman was Veronica Montelongo’s mother Maria, pretending to be a buyer. I am sure that there were several other shows that were doctored as well. Just food for thought…

The guy and his wife look like a scammer. From what I heard there where quite a few ethical disagreements between the Armando / Veronica & David / Melina, so they split. Remember they used to do the biz together. Armando had no problems cutting corners to make the quick buck.

During 2007, many of the Montelongo properties that were in various stages of renovation and preparation for sale became listed for foreclosure due to mortgage non-payment. All of these properties were taken over by David Montelongo after quitting the show and were part of the subsequent partnership split from his brother Armando. [8]

On February 21, 2008, Armando Montelongo was indicted by a Travis County grand jury on a "theft of service charge." It is alleged he failed to pay over $4,000 in fees to an appraisal service.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

If someone is stupid enough to buy that series, then more power to Armando...cos a sucker and his money are soon parted.

I Agree. Now if someone was conned out of their money then that is a different story.

Caveat emptor, always.

I don't get why you are so bothered that WideAwake started this thread. So he wants to say the guy is bogus... so what?

VJ sheesh!

I wasn't bothered he started the thread at all  I have actually been amused by the whole thing...

I have to bite my tongue when customers sit in front of me and spout regurgitated 'news' responses concerning the housing market. It annoys me. Obviously, the housing market is something that's very important to me, and it is also something that I am quite passionate about. I thought this thread was funny at first, a joke even...hey, breaking news, the problem with flipping is that it needs a seller and a buyer. So yeah, I found that amusing. OP's since admitted he doesn't know firsthand knowledge about this course, but calls it a 'scam' then a 'possible scam' then says he's no expert but listens to the radio...but the whole 'scam' is due to that you can't make a fast and painless buck? Cmaaaaaaaan!

People think anyone can flip a house but that is so untrue it's not funny. I've seen it destroy lives. It's nothing to enter into lightly...whether you buy some course or not. Yes, you can hit it lucky...but that's the exception, not the rule.

I was perfectly fine to discuss the thread on its merits....but then it became ridiculously amusing when the OP lost his temper cos he didn't like logical responses to his hyperbole.

I've watched his show in the past, I dont really find it informative, more amusing than anything else. but I do recall some type of shady stuff taking place, but I can't quite recall what it was. I know many of those home seller shows are sort of fake. Many times they say the house has sold, when in fact it has not, and many of the people coming to the open houses are just friends. On one other forum I visit, one fellows house was used for the show. I can't recall the name of it. But they fixed up 1 room and tidied up the house. Before and after thing. They showed people coming in before, and they all say its ugly, blah blah, then they fix it up, tidy it up, redo the open house, and now the same people love it! Those poeple were family members. And at the end he stated that thanks to the show, he has now sold, when in fact he had not. Its the show that has 1 gal and the guy is pretty muscular, he has big arms and short hair, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Well, DUH!!! Don't buy anything you see advertised on the TV or radio, if it involves dialing on the phone to place an order. Ever.

Edited by akdiver

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

That was sort of the initial point of the post. That freakin' guy is still advertising on Sirius. He went away for awhile, but was resurrected lately. I was hoping he was in jail.
