I will say that the stereotype of the French is very accurate.

They do indeed wear stripey sweaters, black berets and chomp garlic.

They also go: "Awheehawheehaw".

I've never heard a French person go "awheehawheehaw."

This guy I work with chomps on garlic, but he's from another country close to France. It was so funny,I gave him a ride home one day and my son was in the car. After he got out my son said,"Mommy, please don't have that man in the car anymore,he smells so bad."

The white guys I know all joke about wearing gas masks when they go to an Indian-commuter-dominated train station during rush hour (Metro Park). And it's true, you can smell Metro Park from inside the train! An odor that comes from a mix of sweat and masala.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

Well, when I went to Panama last year,an Indian guy was sitting in front of me in the plane. His armpits were riper than a banana. He was hot looking too.

A few months ago we were in a chinese restaurant with an asian girl that my wife works with. Half-way through the meal she was asking which of the wait staff was our waiter because "they all look the same"

That's what they say about us "people of color" also.

Actually, the Chinese people I work with here in China say that we (White people) all look the same. They certainly think that all Africans look the same. They also say that we smell bad because we eat dairy, though dairy products are becoming ever popular here.

I can relate to this. I used to have a harder time telling my Korean students apart, but after 8 years of teaching where Koreans are the majority, I can see a vast difference in their looks. It's what you are used to seeing, and there is a grain of truth in it. When a new teacher asks, who is so-and-so, I can only answer, well, he has straight black hair, brown eyes, wears glasses, average height. This describes 95% of the boys in the school, where as if I say, he has red hair, it only describes one boy in the school.

As far as Asians go,I believe if you hang around them all the time, you can tell them apart. In my neighborhood there were many Southeast Asians.I had no problem telling them apart.Everyone had a unique nickname also.Mostly after an animal.(I'm being serious now)

Now this is outrageous ,names after animals .......to south asians .How abt i say names of panama ppl looks like bird names to us,thats disrepectful!! isnt it.

i believe colored ppl (including southasians)are more racial than white ppl ,all of us think they are superior to us ...A myth , ignorance and sheer inferiority.

peejay is right. Stereotypes don't arise from a vacuum.

I'm of Indian heritage and the truth is a lot of us are cheap, a lot of us do smell and a lot of us are dishonest. The stereotype is fair, even though only 2 out of 3 apply to me.

SHAME ON YOU BROTHER!!!!!

YOU ARE AN OUTCAST NOW

so that guy loaded with too much (odor masking)cheap perfume ,cheapster at metro park was you who bumped into grandma the other day and din't even say sorry!!!!!!!
