Thanks everyone for sharing your stories, as I said, I thought my case was pretty straightforward(no divorces, children, criminal record), but for some reason it is taking a long time. I am going to call today & see if I can find something out.

I will keep everyone posted.

I just spoke to the rudest woman on the planet-no news. I can not speak with anyone until they are processing cases with a 1/11 receipt date(which I already knew).

Hopefully those of us that are waiting will hear something soon. I will keep my fingers crossed for everyone.

Maybe the person who has all of our cases on their desk has been out sick? I hope they are feeling better so they can GET BACK TO WORK :D

You know, after reading this thread this morning and seeing how there are more than irishgirl73 in this predicament, it occured to me that this same thing occured with Vermont last January. The processing slowed down considerably for about a 2 month period.

Perhaps they do some sort of audit there in January and February?

Who knows. Anyway thought I would throw this information out there and maybe it would add some small level of comfort.

God I hope that's it-thanks rebaccajo.

I wouldn't be so concerned if it weren't for others that are getting approved in 2 weeks. So much for luck of the Irish :-)
