I know everyone tells me to be patient & NOT to look at other's timelines but I am on day 60 & my case hasn't been touched. Is anyone else waiting to hear from them? Did anyone else submit their petition in early December?

Also-will they be updating processing times this week? I think I read somehere that they do that every two weeks.

Hi Irishgirl73, :D

Denise sent hers almost a whole year before you. She did not send it in 2006; she sent hers in 1/27/2005. You are lucky you are at VSC if you were at CSC/TSC you would die. My suggestion is that you e-mail them and/or call them because according to your timeline your I-129f should have been adjudicated as early as 1/17/06. Have you called or e-mail them? What did they say? Good luck and I hope the best for you because I know that waiting sucks!

I called & they said I have to wait until they are processing cases rec'd a full month after mine (1/8). I know I seem impatient but "everyone" else has been approved already. I feel like the only one waiting at Vermont. I wouldn't be so angry if I had an update or something-but NOTHING since they rec'd it. It is really annoying me. :crying:

Did you tell them when you sent it? If so what the hold up is and what can you do that will help speed up the process (maybe something was missing from your paperwork). My fiance also went through Vermont, he sent our papers in November 18 and we were approved December 1 (online). We were pretty amazed at how fast that happened............little did we know that the wait had only just begun  Now we're waiting for an Interview date.

Good luck and don't give up. Somebody has to tell you something. Very frustrating!! :crying: .......{{{{{HUGS}}}}

It was funny-when I called last week, I told them that people who sent their petitions in a month after me were being approved-the man called me a liar & said that wasn't possible. He was so rude. He said that anyone who is saying that is lying!!!!!!I can't do anything until they are processing 1/11 cases(which they obviously have been). I am just so annoyed that no one can tell me what is going on. I shouldn't have an rfe-the case was pretty simple.

I feel like I am the ONLY one waiting this long at Vermont & it isn't fair :crying:

sorry for that rant everyone!

I'm thinking your petition may be the victim of a random security check. Cases are pulled at random for a deeper background check and this may have happened to you. If so you are just going to have to wait it out.

Also, I am of the opinion that if there has been a lot of travel between the beneficiary and petitioner, the case may take longer. Just my opinion only, but I've seen it more than once on these boards.

I presume you have your NOA1. If so there is not much else (this early in the game) you can do until you receive either an RFE or an approval. At least not at this point. Do take heart that you are at Vermont - even if there is a namecheck going on, your case will definately move faster than it would at any other center.

I guess that could be it :(

2005 was such a "bad luck" year for us..............I should have waited til 2006 to submit the petition, I can't stand this waiting. I know I have a lot more of that to come, but I never thought it would take this long to get our noa2 :crying:

It does believe it or not

Instead of preparing for the best & expecting the worst, I expected the best & was NOT prepared for the worst. I know I am lucky to be going through vermont, but I was hoping for a much faster approval.

The drama continues............maybe I'll hear something this week????? Please Please

I'm at 85 days and counting, submitted on 11/9/05, NOA1 11/21/05, and heard nothing since then, not even a touch. There is nothing you can do, they make sure that you can't find out a thing until you've waited a good deal longer.

It's so depressing sometimes. I started out so hopeful, thinking it would be taken care of soon, that my NOA2 would be before Christmas, that I could have an interview in February - now I think I'll be even lucky to see an NOA2 by the end of February. I've totally lost faith.

Hi Irishgirl,

I filed in VSC on Dec. 9th and was last "touched" on Dec. 14th. Wonder if the holidays held things up...anything is possible...

You are not alone. I am feeling it too. My hubby is back in the UK since November-and I now work 6 to 7 days a week just so I can keep busy and not get bummed out with waiting.

Have faith and don't lose sight of the future. : )

I'm sure you don't want to see my timeline but VSC was very quick with our petition. Do you have divorces on either side or does your fiance have children?

It's possible you or your benificiary's name was a "hit" on the security check and they have to analyze your case more thoroughly than others. I'd just call the National Service Center again (you probably didn't talk to anyone in Vermont when you called the national call center and they only go by what's on their computer screen) and ask to speak to an immigration officer VERY nicely.

Do not piss these people off, they can easily "lose" your case if you touch them the wrong way.

Good luck...
