Can someone tell me how to write email regarding DS-3032 for a child? I have search the forums and the question has been asked before, but when I look in the search results I am not able to find it. Thanks!

CR1 - Maristela (Wife)

California Service Center (CSC)

Day 0 - May 22, 2007 - Married

Day 0 - July 28, 2007 - Sent I-130 to CSC

Day 21- August 18, 2007 - NOA1 (took 21 Days)

Day 168- January 12, 2008 - NOA2 (took 147 Days)

National Visa Center (NVC)

Day 206- February 19, 2008 - Received I-864 Fee Bill / DS 3032 (took 38 Days)

Day 206- February 20, 2008 - Sent I-864 Fee Express Mail (took 1 Day)

Day 220- March 4, 2008 - Received I-864 Packet (took 14 Days)

Day 221- March 5, 2008 - Sent I-864 Packet Express Mail (took 1 Day)

Day 237- March 21, 2008 - Received I.V. Fee Bill (took 17 Days)

Day 237- March 21, 2008 - Sent I.V. Fee Bill Express Mail (took 0 Days)

Day 267- April 21, 2008 - Received DS-230 Instructions (took 30 Days)

(May - July was spent trying to gather and REPLACE original police clearance letters from Germany, Italy, & Brazil. Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificate, and all the translations after the US POST Office and/or US Customs Border Protection at JFK Airport LOST the package! ARRGH!)

August 27, 2008 - Case Completed at NVC

DAY 439! - October 8, 2008 - Interview in Rio - Visa Approved!

Hi, I am in the same situation as you face . I have asked this question on this blog, it seems parent who is the leagal guardian should write email to determine who act as child's agent.

Child can not write email to NVC .

Godo question. I think, as a petitioner, you can write NVC and tell them you want to be your child's choice of agent, since the child has no way of emailing NVC. Provide you and your child's names, addresses, date of births.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

I have decided to let child write email to NVC and I add my comments at the bottom stating my name, DOB, I am the mother and legal Guardian and I agree what she does to pick my husband as the agent.

Let's see if it works.

I am applying for my daughter Maria Ivanova, born on **/**/2001 her visa case number is #MOS20**** (my name is Olga Smith , born on **/**/1980, my visa case number is #MOS20****)

Unfortunately we cannot locate her DS-3032 and would like to appoint my husband as her agent of choice to receive all the correspondence from NVC. His name and address is:

John Smith, born on **/**/1962,

Address ********

All mail from the U.S. Department of State concerning her immigration visa application should be send to the address above. Thank you for your help.

I sent it online.That worked! after 5 days they sent the reply to my e-mail address and changed the message in the automated system that they accepted the choice of agent
