any idea how much to pay if 2 years overstay? do they accept credit cards?any help is highly appreciated. thanks

hi which country? here in Philippines? u mean ur husband overstayed here?

My fiance is here in PI since January,, but he extends his visa every 2 months, costs $100 per extension (we used travel agency though)

If ur USC husband overstay here, the fine for overstaying is 500 pesos for every month of overstay plus the normal visa extension fees.

The normal visa extension fee is 2020 pesos:

Application fee 1000PHP

Legal Search Fee 20PHP

Visa Waiver Fee 500PHP

Express Lane Fee 500PHP

i think if married to a filipino citizen then one is entitled to stay for a yr, by just presenting the marriage certificate upon entering at the airport... but you said you've over stayed already (after staying more than yr), is that right??? coz what ive heard one has to be out of the country every yr (maybe go to hong kong for a day then back to phil again, so they can give you another yr to stay lol)... try calling the DFA for more info... since you're married to a citizen in the country, there might be some waiver or yeah, fees...

gosh i forgot the name who posted about the rule when staying in phil... it was a helpful thread...

God bless!!!

its best to call the immigration here in phil im not sure if dfa is alike but i know you can do it in the airport too (his poe)... you just have to call them... try using the number that primie's posted on her reply... and since we cannot speculate the "real specific" answer, its best to talk someone from the govt agency itself... ask if they will accept credit cards, if not, i believe you can do a cash advance from a credit card but cost you more, than using a regular debit card... i have an american express credit card and if i transfer some cash or withdraw some cash from it, it will cost me $10 for every transactions... while for debit card just $2... hope you can solve this problem and God bless to your family!!!
