How come the name change, Julie? I love the new avatar/title by the way!

R&I - I think Russian names in general are beautiful! I also love the nicknames.

no.. my middle name is Ury, it's a hebrew name (just changed the i for a y) and people have always think it's just short for Uriel or something.. but no, it's just Ury.. and people here in the states have the hardest time saying it.. so I just use Pedro, but in Mexico everybody knows me by my middle name

At least your parents loved you enough to give you a middle name. :crying: Mine gave me a normal name for where I was born, then moved us to a continent that can't even pronounce it. And without a middle name to fall back on! Oh, the horror.

Middle names are fantastic; very useful for passing on family names that you're not really keen on but that your grandparents would be so disappointed if you didn't use. ;)

Randy is a slightly unfortunate name if you're British, though. Otherwise I agree, it does sound very musical!

my dad got the idea from that quack Uri Geller.. he got his book as a gift back in the 70's and he liked the name.. so it wasn't his inspiration lolol

My sister is Francesca Anne...I'm sure it's not just a coincidence that my dad really liked the actress Francesca Annis at the time.

I am Julia Sarah Gloria...and people can't manage to write the Sarah correctly...Sahra...very popular typo.

Ms. Squirrel -> I am the crazy squirrel lady, that's why :P

I am Gillian. Just plain old Gillian. post-21394-1209037277.gif

Is being the crazy squirrel lady the same as being the crazy cat lady?

What is Randy usually short for, by the way? I never managed to figure that out. :)

When someone says 'crazy squirrel lady' I just think of the lady from Rat Race.

Krikit - my Ancient History teacher was a Gillian and she was anything but plain old! Excellent teacher and kept a riding whip in her cupboard! So I have a positive, but slightly scared, impression of the name Gillian.
