Our names/last names have their origin and meaning.

Do you think or do you bellieve that they affect our fate and life in general?

If yes, then logically our fate should change after marriage and change in last names.......

For me, i don't have belief about the significance of names. It's the human himself affects one's marriage. 974047kc6or7za2o.gif

I don't believe names have any real meaning. However, I do think they can affect your life - very much so! Most of us subconsciously pass judgement on names whether we're aware of it or not. If you have an unusual name people are unlikely to forget it; and in many careers this may well be to your advantage. Look at all the actors and performers who have changed their rather dull birthnames to more glamorous stage names. On the other hand, a name that is too outlandish may subject you to bullying, and that can have a profound affect on your life.

As for predetermined fate, no, I don't believe that your name has anything to do with that at all.

You have a nice point about NAMES CAN AFFECT one's life , especially when it comes to how good or ugly the names sounded.

no.. my middle name is Ury, it's a hebrew name (just changed the i for a y) and people have always think it's just short for Uriel or something.. but no, it's just Ury.. and people here in the states have the hardest time saying it.. so I just use Pedro, but in Mexico everybody knows me by my middle name

LOL. but I guess I am just the lucky one cuz i haven't heard of the same name yet, thats why I don't get jam up with paper stuff ;)

People cannot pronounce Ury?! It doesn't seem all that hard to me - but maybe I am mispronouncing it myself. ;)

I find my name very dull and boring (well, I like Rachel, but my surname is very common) but I have to admit that never having to correct people on spelling or pronunciation is a definite plus! (Although USCIS STILL got my name wrong. :P ) I imagine it must get very frustrating for those of you with unusual names! I will be taking Alex's last name when we marry and people find his difficult to spell and pronounce so I guess I shall see for myself soon enough!

Aha! I was indeed mispronouncing it, then. But I usually only need to be told once - I'll know how to pronounce it from now on!

LOL, so I was wrong then, thought it reads YURI too hehehe. Now I know it sounds like Oo-rey so the R sounds soft with ey on it.
