normally when does nvc sched interview after case completion?is it also true that we can call D.O.S to inquire projected interview and medical?(im on cr1 route)

It depends on the consulate. Typically 1 to 2 months ! Chennai U.S consulate is the most crowded in the world. Some time back there were 500+ applicants per day. Chennai normally takes 1.5 to 2 months time after NVC case complete.

Interviews in Manila are usually 6-8 weeks after a CR-1 case is complete. You should go early for the medical though, once you have either appointment letter or a print out of the interview date from the embassy web site.

As soon as your case is completed , You case is sent to the concerned Embassy and the DOS and Embassy schedule the interview date at the 15th of each month for all the pending cases for the next month
